It was a Sunday and the factory floor was empty, everything at a standstill except the shop which was selling Christmas sweets and Turron. The most interesting part and the one we spent most time in was the building to the left which houses all their old equipment and from around October to January a Nativity display. Well worth spending time on but the sweet factory bit is, let's say, boring ;)

Into the Turron factory and once again 1€ to anter returned on any purchases - Once again all we see is a packaging like and staff packing stuff into boxes - No manufacturing or information no guide to tell us anything and off into the shop, given a 1 cubic cm of choc covered Turron to taste and while a huge fan of almonds it is nasty, beginning to think this bus tour is just a cash cow for Tourists - We live in the country and this is just a con Really not impressed Chocolate factory next

We shared our visit with a coach load of primary school kids! Interesting to see the factory in operation: combination of machinery and hand made. The small museum with many very old implements and descriptions (Spanish) of the processes fascinating. The children enjoyed the nativity scene sculpted in ice. We weren't charged for the visit, offered samples, and of course bought some things to take away for Christmas.

This was my first "coach trip".. and extremely enjoyable . I first noticed how much rain was still standing in the olive groves around Antequara.. We visited all the sweet and chocolate factory's.. .. Very interesting and seeing the Nativity scenes made from sugar ..The Anise Bodega was great fun ... sampling the different drinks !There is a lot to see in a day ..We had a good hearty late lunch after our trip ...

We called in here after a visit to the chocolate factory up the road, it is also very interesting and show the different stages of manufacturing turron and chocolate. they also have a very shop at the end of the tour.
