this was the highlight of our excursion out of Huelva to La Rabida, Palos and Moguer. there are some really amazing pieces, especially the old choir from the 15th century. visits are possible only on a guided tour, scheduled several times every day. when we came, we were the only two visitors, so we had the whole tour and the whole monastery just for us - and enjoyed it really very much.

We sought out this place after reading TA reviews and we were not disappointed. A couple of things to be aware of - the guide, lovely as he was, spoke in Spanish, so it was difficult to understand everything, despite my reasonable knowledge of the language. Also, this is a large and historical building, which is being restored and will be on-going for several years to come. There was some white washing taking place and some rooms were very dusty, but the rooms that had been renovated were of a very high standard. A very interesting visit for just 3.50€ per person. The tour lasts from 30-45 minutes.
