Went to mass here in this beautiful church. Was completely packed with people. Best time for your weekend mass is on Saturday at 20.00 local time.

Beautiful cathedral on the beach. Finally got to go in without their being a mass on. A very pleasant church. It dates back I believe to the 17centry. Outside there's a saint( I believe ) buried. Could not find any information in English. Worth going to see when in the area. Not always open though.

Situated at the beach, this lovely, small church with its black madonna is a perfect place to slip away from the touristy hype that beach towns sometimes labor under. Winter evening or early start on the day, a few quiet moments in the prayerful space behind the statue on the alter can prepare you well for a day of sightseeing.

For me this is a must see when I am in Chipiona. It evokes different thoughts and different feelings in other people I realize but it you've done any study or research on the Black Madonna, or even not, you'll likely enjoy it. The architecture is spectacular, the madonna beautiful and the story behind her heart warming. If you are there for her feast so much the better and enjoy!

The building constructed in 1906 is quite different from the typical Spanish Catholic church/cathedral on the outside and is quite splendid in its own way. The interior is just as ornate as the typical but ok for a short visit.

An impressive church right on the beachfront. Has some limited parking nearby. Nicely maintained. Worth popping in if nearby but there are so many grand churches this ranks as average but still beautiful.

Gorgeous Black Madonna shrine, simply beautiful church with wonderful architectural details. Even though it's been many years since I've visited (I know that my review is dated sooner but it won't let me go back far enough from the drop down menu), I still remember the splendor of this beautiful building in the charming city of Chipiona!

free to get in and you can go upstairs to see the statue from inside but not worth the walk really, as all churches same old thing if you like that sort of thing, great old wooden furniture in there though.

So beautiful! I wish that they had the sanctuary where the burned virgin rests open..... We were there just as mass was beginning,so we cut our visit short.
