Great beach however we visited a bar on the beach (kayak bar) and were treated poorly. The staff made it very clear we were not welcome. Stay clear if you are a tourist as there are much more welcoming bars and restaurants in Ericeira

extremely unfriendly bar tenders

we stayed at the little nice looking bar right on praia dos pescadores with our three little kids. even though the beach bar looked like a very kids friendly place, we encountered the most unfriendly bar tenders there who literally told us „to go back to our country“ because our kids were playing around. luckily, everywhere else in portugal we were welcomed extremely warmly. so if you travel with kids: don‘t even consider going there.

Good beach

Many people, but easy to find a good spot. The thermometer said 25 degrees but feels less because of the wind. And very very cold water

Nice beach, easy to swim

In Ericeira that would be the easiest beach with Praia del Sul you can go to with children and go swimming. It does not have much waves compared to the other ones and it is often free of surfer.

So close to town that you can walk everywhere - so many restaurants nearby - parking can be a bit of a challenge

City beach

The main city beach here in Ericeira...the small fishing port is right behind it...makes for a relaxing afternoon here

Very relaxing

Although a small beach and popular with both locals and tourists, the atmosphere is very relaxed. We hired beds and an umbrellas from the beach bar where the staff were very friendly. They brought us new beds as some were slightly broken. Excellent service from the staff at the Kayak Bar.

This beach is just in the centre of the village. Very safe to swim, and good for children. Have kaiaks.

Great safe family beach close to center

The beach is close to the center and unlike many other beaches is sandy rather than rock so great for families. The beach is protected and very safe to swim. The town is close by, so super convenient.

Central beach with less waves

The beach is crowded but central. The sand is nice and the ocean were calmer here than the other beaches we visited in ericeira. It's easy to find and get to but it's nothing special. I wouldn't travel to ericeira for this beach!
