The Gothic bridge over the Młynówka Canal in Kłodzko is one of the oldest passages preserved in Poland and even older than famous one in Prague.
This bridge was constructed in the years 1376-1390, replacing an older passage. Originally incorporated into the fortification system of the southern part of the town. It extended between the Upper Bridge Gate, already existing at the end of the 13th century, and the Lower Bridge Gate mentioned for the first time in 1469.

Very similar to Prague's bridges. A very nice bridge that goes without saying. Entering the city with it, you have the impression of the power of the old city. It is decorated with statues of saints and crosses. When visiting Kłodzko, we enter the gates of Czech culture mixed with Polish culture.

This is a pedestrianised bridge and a smaller version of Charles Bridge in Prague the view to the river below is excellent.

But the view looking back from either side is rather nice, while there is a view each way on the river underneath, one way for me was better than the other.

One of the most iconic places in Klodzko. The bridge is assumed to be a miniature copy of the Charles bridge in Prague. Going up you will reach town hall and the fortress. Going down you will reach Franciscan church...
The bridge itself is quite short but nevertheless it is very beautiful and allows you to feel the historic ambiance of this town.

After leaving The Klodzko Fortress, you skould go in City Centers direction. The bridge is 200 meters away. It is like Charles' Bridge in Prague, decorated with fine sculptures. Worth stopping and taking few pictures. The Old Town of Klodzko is very beautifull, like this small town itself.

This is a small bridge over the canal, sloping downward. There are nice views of the town and the canal.

When the Soviet army took Klodzko in 1945, they left the city intact except for the bridges. Well-restored Saint John's bridge forms a short link between the two riverbanks. Indeed similar in style to 'most Karola' in Prague, but a world apart as Klodzko is not a cosmopolitan place. No painters or other artists on this bridge. Still, perhaps because of this, charming. Mainly used by locals who do not seems to pay a lot of attention to sculptures of saints.

This was a short bridge of stone that had baroque statues that gave it a miniature Prague Charles Bridge feel. It connected from the old town over a canal and was worth a photo and the view.

Beautiful bridge! Southeast of the Rynek, this Gothic stone bridge, it was built somewhere between 1281 and 1390, spans the narrow Młynówka River. With half a dozen baroque statues flanking the sides, it’s Kłodzko's scaled-down answer to the Charles Bridge in Prague. If you like history you must see it!
