Ulcinj subregion and all its ecosystem is a a unique region blessed by God for it's nature and magnific landscapes. The castle is more than 2500 years old and has many stories to tell.
The staff was really friendly and helpful but I beg to them to raise funds to maintain the museum if the state does not help. The walls needed some paint and maintenance and also more details on the archeological items found in the castle, because I felt pitty for the current conditiin.I know all the Albanian community all around the help would help maintaining a Castle where Illyrian Queen Teuta has lived, Skenderbeg has fought against Venetians, Miguel del Servantes was captured as a slave, and many many notorius historical figures have conections with that.
I belive that Montenegro authorities also should invest more in this city, which is their city afterall and payes taxes for the state.

We found the museum at the very end of the old town, if one enters from the direction of the sea. The ticket is bought at the entrance and costs 2.5 euros for adults and for children under 10 years of age the entry is free. The museum is well equipped and inspected. Much can be learned about Ulcinj's past. It may be a mistake that when we were visiting there was no guide to explain some of the details. But I definitely recommend it for a visit.

It was one of our quickest museum visit. Just a very few items to display, the gallery was empty which made us a bit disappointed. It's not worth visiting.

While the historical artifacts would benefit from some explanation, I very much enjoyed the exhibition of traditional dresses.

This is the museum for Ulcinj's Stari Grad, the heart of the fortified old town that for a couple centuries or so served as a base for Ottoman war galleys and privateers (so-called "corsairs") who harassed the shipping of Venice and other enemies. The museum includes displays of cannon balls, traditional clothing, replicas of traditional houses, etc. It also includes a number of old stone buildings such as one that has been a mosque and church. One can get nice views form the upper areas. We explored it for a little under an hour before going swimming at the beach below Stari Grad.

This is small museum but it is worth to visit, the ticket costs 2 eur. You will find the archeological artifacts at the old Mosque, the photos at the Photo Gallery in Tower, where you may discover how the people in Ulcinj were lived, how do they looked like, the photos will tell you the story of the city. At the top you will find an excellent view!

Nice view of cultural displays that provided insights to history and traditional dress and customs; well worth a visit. It was a compliment to the historical museum(11th century onward) and the gallery.
