Bill was extremely professional and took extra care of his guests. He delivered what he promised, which was beautiful rides in the Dolomites. He also made electric bikes available to my friends that ride less seriously so they could really enjoy the ride too. The hotel was fantastic and his support staff were very friendly and helpful too.

This was truly the greatest bike trip of a lifetime. Bill’s biking expertise, his knowledge of the countryside and culture, and his solid expertise on organizing the adventure were incredible. He also happens to be one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. It was a joy and a privilege to be able to ride through the most amazing and beautiful bicycling countryside in the world. His staff were extremely knowledgeable and skilled in taking the groups through the beautiful mountains and valley of northern Italy. The side trips to the bicycle factories and shops in some of the most beautiful little towns in the area were the cherry on top of the ice cream. Such a thrill, I plan to return.

My friends spent over a week with YCI touring the Lake Como and Lake Garda regions. Finished off the trip with a climb to the top of Mt Grappa. Our guide Bill was the best. He always had an eye on us and kept us safe but allowed us to explore and deviate from the day's plan when we wanted. His knowledge of the region is extensive and he knew where the best pictures were. I have taken many cycling trips and his guidance was tops of all of them.

My experience with YCI was top-notch. I had already been on cycling trips to the Italian Alps and Dolomites, but this was my first trip to the pre-Dolomites. Thanks to Bill’s excellent service and knowledge of the area, I will definitely be back for more. Bill is a seasoned road cyclist and skilled tour operator. He had a Colnago rental bike ready for me at the hotel upon my arrival, he tailored the rides to meet my interests and riding level, and he incorporated bike shop and beautiful local town visits into the evenings. With regard to the hotel, the rooms are modern and comfortable, there is a spa (which I cannot comment on because I didn't make time to use it), and the restaurant serves three delicious meals a day. The hotel is also ideally located next to the start of the Semonzo climb to Cima Grappa. Whether you are interested in long, grueling rides or scenic cycling tours, Bill can provide it all. He also has a team to cater to multiple interests within a group. I simply came to YCI to cycle, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely, historic towns that we visited (Asolo, Bassano del Grappa, Marostica…) which can be reached by bike or car. In addition to offering great cycling terrain, the Veneto region has more reliable weather than the neighboring Dolomites and Alps. I would highly recommend YCI to anyone looking for a great cycling experience in Italy!

Yes, Bill leads rides for cyclists in the mountains of Northern Italy. He knows the mountains. He knows the language and he is the consummate guide. I write from a different perspective however; the spouse of a cyclist who is not a cyclist herself. I had stopped joining my husband on his “bike trips” because, understandably so, it is all about the bike. He convinced me to join him in Italy where he would do just one race. We would commit the first 3 days of our 12-day trip to his race. The first three days were the best part of the trip! Bill took care of everything: making sure my husband was at the race on time and we were there to cheer for him at the finish. During the race, Bill and I explored a walled city and hiked to see amazing views from a historic castle. Whether you are a cyclist or a family member along for the ride, Bill’s concierge service provides everything you need and want. Excellent!

I've visited YCI 5 times starting in 2004; I've met folks at YCI who've been twice as many times dating back even farther. Why? Riding in the Veneto gives you the opportunity to do all types of riding, from relatively flat, to rolling, to some really stiff climbs (10+ miles). The scenery is beautiful and the food is tremendous. But the thing that keeps me coming back to YCI is Bill. His knowledge of local routes is exhaustive, and he's able to tailor each ride to the mood of the group or rider. And if you want to climb, Bill can get you onto some spectacular, and relatively unknown, ascents that rank high both in difficulty and beauty. Bill is a great host and guide; I'm sure I'll be back for a sixth time.

My husband and I did our first cycling tour with Your Cycling Italia in 2009 and have been back 4 times since! Anna and Bill are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the Veneto region. We have 2 teenage girls who do not ride and while we are out riding with Bill for the first half of the day, Anna is out with the non cyclists (in our case, our girls) taking them to various towns, markets, shopping etc. They may even meet up with us midway through our ride for a macchiato and brioche in one of the quaint little towns. And in the afternoon, once the ride and lunch is done, Anna and Bill will escort the group on an excursion of our choice. The rooms at the base hotel are pretty basic and not that large, but the hotel does have a beautiful new full service spa and pool and what the rooms lack in luxury is most definitely made up for in the quality of the meals (which are all included) and the prosecco is always flowing!

As for the rides, we leave first thing in the morning around 8 am and are back at the hotel around 1pm. There are various ride levels and the terrain ranges from flat, to rolling hills, to sustained climbing depending upon what is decided amongst the group.. The scenery is always spectacular and there is always time to stop along the way to take pictures, so make sure to take your phone or a small camera.

I would highly recommend this cycling tour for any level of cyclist. Anna and Bill are very hospitable and happy to accommodate all your needs. Your Cycling Italia will not disappoint!

Thanks for another fantastic week Bill and Anna. We hope to be back in 2018!
