    Incredible experience
We did the tour of the grounds along with a 7 course meal / wine pairing. Everything was incredible. Personally, I think they had the best olive oil and balsamic vinegar! Bonus points because they ship everything they make to the US which was SUPER helpful given that we didn't bring any checked luggage. Plus - adorable dogs!

A positive experience despite the crowd
When we pulled up we were nervous because a large bus load of tourists arrived at the same time that this was going to be a tourist trap. The one negative is that this venue caters to large tour groups and there are crowds of people. Despite that we had a very nice time with attentive service (thank you Ruberto and Danielle), plenty of delicious wine and delicious food.

    A Superb Experience
My wife and I visited this vineyard and olive grove this past July while on a Princess Cruise. The visit was quite memorable, but the best part of it was the balsamic vinegar served during a brief lunch served at the facility. Normally I don't get excited about such things, but this vinegar (made on the premises) is the most superb I have ever tasted. I have since had several bottles shipped to the U.S.. This is a stop in Italy I hope to see again some day!

Did a ground tour, tasted their wines, their homemade pasta, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and their skin and body cream. Then after eating, drinking and enjoying the experience, went into the gift shop and bought a few items to bring home. Oh my gosh, they are awesome, and i highly recommend a visit while you are in the Tuscany area.

We visited this farm and vineyard as part of a cruise tour so we had a group of 20-30. The vineyard tour is fairly short but interesting. We were able to taste grapes we picked off the vine. We were seated at a long table with groups of 6 wine bottles (3 white and 3 red ranging from dry to sweet) placed periodically down the length. Our host described each of the wines then lunch began. We were served a variety of dishes from bread to thin sliced meats to pasta to vegetables. All were amazing. Our experience finished with a sweet almond desert wine and biscotti. The highpoint for me was the olive oil and balsamic for bread dipping. The balsamic is amazing and I purchased a bottle to bring home. Don't miss this experience!

We had booked a wine tasting with light lunch for our group. First we had a tour in the vineyard. It was really nice, the guide spoke so good English and told a lot of interesting stories about Montecarlo, Il Poggio, wine making and olive oil making.

And the food: it was sooo good! I think it was the best meal we had while staying in Tuscany! All the starters, pastas and dessert were delicious, made from fresh ingredients!

We also had quite some many allergies in our group, but it was no problem at all for them. We hadn't got such a welcoming and friendly service anywhere else! I think our waiter was called Roberto and he was amazing!

Not to mentions those lovely bernese mountain dogs they had!

Highly, highly recommended!

As part of our tour of Tuscany we visited Fattoria il Poggio to see the workings of a vineyard. After the tour we had lunch and tried a number of their products and very fine afternoon was had by all.

This was our second time visiting Fattoria Il Poggio as part of a tour and it did not disappoint. In fact it was better than it was seven years ago. The lovely and quite funny manager gave a tour of the olive oil process and the vineyards. Afterwards, we were seated in the main dining hall that accommodates large tour groups. On the table were bottles of white and red wines which were introduced by the manager. She explained that additional varieties of whites and reds would be introduced as the meal progressed culminating with a sweet dessert wine Vin Santo (to dip biscotti), and finally samples of Grappa (watch out!). Appetizers of their own cured olives, sun dried tomatoes, and delicious bread (dipped in their olive oil) began the feast. Then the dishes just kept coming. One more delicious that the previous. Meat and cheese platters, pasta with meat sauce, salad, sausage, ribs, chicken, potatoes, dessert. It seemed like it would never end!

A special shout out to the chef and kitchen staff. My wife eats gluten free and they went above and beyond to make the meal special for her. She said her GF pasta was the best ever! They made roasted potatoes for her that were so good everyone at the table ate them. When the staff saw what happened they made a second helping just for her. Outstanding service and attention to detail. When in Tuscany make sure to visit. This is what farm to table looks like.

We were there in April 2023 with a tour group. It was the most fun we had during the entire tour of Italy. The meal that they provided was family style and more than enough for the entire 48 person group. And the variety and quantity of wines was more than expected.

When the meal ended the entertainment began and everyone was up dancing. lots of fun. I highly recommend Fattoria Il Poggio if you are in the vicinity.

My wife and I arrange this tour through Monograms. We started with a class on how to make pasta followed by a tour of the winery. We had a lunch that was almost never ending along with a lot of wine tasting. The staff was very accommodating. We were part of a group of three couples. This was a most pleasant day. We also had some wine and balsamic vinegar shipped home.
