    A highlight
This was one of the highlights of my trip to northern Italy and that says a lot! The tour of the vineyard and winery was fascinating. We learned the details of winemaking, particularly the difficulties of kosher winemaking. (Harvest season falls out in Sept-Oct during the bulk of major Jewish holidays. No picking during the holidays which limits the days when harvesting can be done) The vineyard is up on the mountains of Tuscany and the views are exquisite. After the tour, we were treated to a delicious dinner and wine tasting. For dessert, we had the best tiramisu that I ever ate. This place was not easy to get to but so worth it. This was a unique and rare experience. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity.

Lovey Winery and Great Wine But...
We chose to book this winery to find out more about the Italian kosher wine making process and to support the vineyard. We booked the full experience including the tour, wine tasting and dinner. The vineyard owner is a wonderful person, who tried his best to deal with the challenges of a large group (think 24?) , which included 3 young children and a few young teens. Needless to say, as a result of people arriving late, we started half an hour later than the anticipated 5:30. But the main problem for us is that many attendees were not engaged or paid attention to the great discussion and the poor owner needed to remind everyone to keep in step. I would suggest that this tour has a smaller maximum number of participants with no children allowed. By the time the tasting was over, my husband and I decided to not stay for the dinner.

There truly aren’t enough words in the English language to adequately lavish on this incredible Tuscan gem. I learned of Terra di Seta on a Sunday evening, immediately emailed the proprietors who were beyond gracious and speedy in their response, and by Monday morning I was on the train from Florence to visit this incredible winery and cantina. Maria and Daniele greeted us upon arrival and instantly made us feel like their honored guests, a rarity in Italy where customer service is often not a priority. The winery’s grounds are like a postcard while the physical structures are also impeccably maintained (the winery’s restroom boasts the honor of being the most modern as well as cleanest public bathroom I had the pleasure of using in all of Italy). Come for the tour and tasting, but absolutely do stay for the lunch which features the freshest, most delicious dairy meal I have ever enjoyed in my life (this is a definite must). Tierra di Seta affords the kosher traveler the opportunity to enjoy a true Tuscan food and wine experience, an unexpected opportunity. This slice of heaven deserves to be better known but part of me wants to hold on to it just for myself...it truly is that amazing.

The tour provided a very nice overview of Kosher winemaking and also in general feature of the wine industry in Tuscany. This was done via a walk amongst the vines, a visit to the winemaking facilities and finally tasting 3 wines. It was very good value for money. One small downside - not well signed posted from the dirt road.

Prebooked online, we arrived at this exclusuve, secluted 4-appartement , 10 year-old vineyard. It is located on a typical Toscan hilltop overlooking the area and with a marvellous view of Siena. We were met by owner, senora Maria Pellegrini with a heartly welcome, given our keys and shown to our ground floor appartement. It was a very spacious and lovely app., with a large sitting/dining/kitchen area, one bedroom w two single beds, one master bedroom, both with roomy closets, one large bathroom w/tub and bidet and one smaller w/shower and bidet. The kitchen has a combined fridge/freezee, gas-stove and oven and comes fully equipped.
Everything was to our full satisfaction, all very new and clean.
We were shown the family vineyard production on arrival and told there would be a wine tasting later in the week, held by the owners husbond. Terra di Seta is a kosher vineyard, also w/honey and olive oil production. We were offered samples of all these products on arrival and could buy more at the tasting. The tasting was held on our last night at Terra di Seta. The owner Marie and her husbond Danielle, gave us a thorough introduction to the kosher wine production and their history in the place. We were really made to feel like good friends and not just some random tourists.
This agriturismo is an incredible place far from everything and with a lovely pool area also overlooking the valley, with a stunning view of Siena. The pool area includes a lovely indoor rest area, outdoor shower and various sunbeds/lawnchairs.
Each appartement has a large roofed terrasse area with outdoor furniture also overlooking the wonderful area. Located about 15 km from the Autostrada leading you easily to Siena, and with 70 km to both Florence and Volterra, daytrips can easily be made.
The only negative thing we can say is the internet is very scarce most of the time. Travelling with two young sons, it took a little adjustment getting used to but with this said, spending a week in Terra di Seta away from all electronics devises, did everyone a great deal of good
Terra di Seta means Land of Silk - we could easily call it the new Land of wine and honey
It was absolutely fantastic!

My 3 friends and I recently visited the Terra di Seta winery during our trip to Italy. We were so excited to experience kosher wine tasting in this famous region. We were based out of Florence and took the bus to Siena (about an hour and 15 minutes), and then a cab to the winery (25-30 euros, 20 minutes and make sure to show the cab driver the address!). When we got there Daniel, the owner, was there to meet us. He showed us around his beautiful vineyards and told us about all the aspects of growing grapes in Tuscany. The day was sunny and clear and the views were breathtaking. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and interesting and answered all our questions. After showing us the vineyards, we walked back to the wine cellar and ate delicious bread with cheese, tomatoes, and olive oil, and of course tasted 2 types of wine with Daniel and his wife Maria. They told us more about the facility and about the Kosher and organic wine making process. For dessert we had some delicious honey that they also make there. We had a fantastic time and were so glad we did this tour! It should not be missed!!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Italy and this winery was one of the parts of our trip that we were most looking forward to. We both love wine, and we were very pleased with our visit. Daniel and Maria were so sweet, and had so much information to share with us about wine in the region. We had some wine with them as they explained the wine making process and the gave us a tour through the vineyard. This was especially great because the other two groups who were supposed to be joining us did not show so it was just the four of us.

They also sell Kosher meals now, which are fantastic. The wine was great, the food was great, and their honey was really amazing.

We traveled to Siena by train from Florence & stopped in that city to see the synagogue. It was locked but it was not our target destination. We were actually headed to the kosher winery Terra di Seta in the Tuscany hills. Wow!!! What an amazing dining experience. Everything was fresh from the garden & absolutely delicious. I cannot explain what a wonderful gastronomic experience this was. There were many courses...delicately small & beautifully presented...& by the end of the meal totally satisfying. It would be a shame to come to this region & not experience this wonderful restaurant at the Terre Di Seta Kosher Winery. The ambiance is lovely & the chef incredibly talented. Enjoy!!!

We picked up the telephone to this winery at about 9 am from Florence. The person we were talking to suggested that we drive to the winery for the 11 am tour. They were extremely helpful and gave us instructions on how to get there. This is the only Kosher Winery in Tuscany. We had a little difficulty getting there because we kept missing the tiny slip road but eventually all was well. We were met by Daniele Della Seta who owns the winery and manages it. We arrived in a restaurant on the premises and told that we would be eating lunch there after the actual tour. The farm and restaurant are run by Daniele's wife Maria Pellegrini. We set of on foot together with another couple from USA. The scenery is spectacular and Daniele explained in great detail the grape growing industry. We walked (in the unbelievable heat) through the vineyard into the wine press and finally into a most beautifully decorated atmospheric wine tasting room. We tasted two wines there and were given little snacks to eat with the wines. The room is dimly lit and one sits on high stools on long bar tables. After this extremely enjoyable event, we returned to the restaurant for lunch. How can I even begin to describe this lunch. The food was dairy and vegetarian and my daughter who is vegan was catered for. This was fine dining at its best, beautiful presentation and exquisitely tasty. Wine was served with this meal. The staff were so attentive, smiley and helpful. The meal was extremely relaxed and absolutely indulgent. A truly spectacular visit, they set out to give us a real Tuscan feast and they certainly achieved this.

We were in a group of 4 couples from Israel touring Tuscany and we booked an evening tour, kosher wine tasting and dinner at Terra di Seta.

The drive up from Siena is through amazing Tuscan scenery. Daniel the owner took us to see the beautiful vineyards and their new winery. His explanations were fascinating and we enjoyed the kosher wine tasting. Dinner was in their small family restaurant and consisted of delicious homemade soup, pastas and other traditional dishes. We enjoyed it very much. It was particularly gratifying to have such a high quality kosher experience in Italy.

We had a great time with Daniel in the wine tour. The vinyard is located above high hills and you get a great view. Daniel explanations about the wine making process were interesting with much details. He talked with passion about how they raise the grapes and the olives in a way which fits the climate and the surface. The tasings were very nice - the wine was great, the tomato was super fresh and sweet, the extra virgin olive oil was excellent, and the cheese was the best cheese we had in Italy. We bough 2 bottles in the end, in a very good non touristic price. Thanks Daniel! Definitely worth a visit.
