The Church is interesting inside but I preferred the view from outside with the beautiful small garden right in front of it and the Fontana d'Ercole in its middle.
We had a beautiful weather in September, not to hot in the morning and strolling the streets of Notto we came to a stop in front of this garden with the facade of the Church.
It was a beautiful view.
I have attached several pictures to give you a glimpse of it.

This is one of several buildings in the same street and the stone just glows. Must go inside next visit!

The fifth on our "church trail" of Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Noto. Early 18th Cent. Sicilian Baroque style , built slightly higher than the main Corso elevation , with the nice Fontana d'Ercole down in front of it . Smaller than the neighboring Cattedrale di Noto (On the right) , but still impressive and interesting .

This church is not only beautiful, but also from its steps you have a wonderful view over the theatre.

The exterior of the Chiesa San Domenico is impressive and with it's surroundings of the fountain and lovely pine tree, it makes for some pretty photos. The interior is not so impressive but should still be seen.

The church of San Domenico overlooks Piazza XVI Maggio.
Built between 1703 and 1727 it is considered the most complete example of baroque design in Noto and is in typical Sicilian baroque architecture.
Inside are a number of paintings dating back to the XVIII century.
It is probably a good start to a tour of Noto as there are so many churches to see!
But because there are so many they tend to be not very busy so they don't feel too touristy.

There are over 40 churches in Noto. So if you have to give some a miss this may be one. If passing drop inside to see the Baroque interior but there is nothing that singles this church out spectacularly from the others.

Interesting baroque church, just couldn't stop making photos. We also entered the crypt
(paying a fee) to find out how the monks were buried, but it isn't worth the visit.

Possibly the first church on the tour of Noto, Chiesa di San Domenico must have been a very fine church at one time. But today, it is eroding very visibly even though it still retains much of its delicate details. The church is largely unadorned, thus giving it a sparse look. Still worth a short visit.

Prehistorical holiness, a well preserved architectural structures. One of Noto’s tourist attraction, just a walking distance from your last stop.
