This is a very small site of the beaten track that is well worth a brief visit (not to be confused with the bigger site at Villa Romano Del Casale as some reviews here seem to have done). Admission is free, and there are 4...More

In the middle of nowhere is this old farmhouse which was for wine pressing and still shows some of these structures. However under this structure are the remains of a Roman villa with evidence of water collection systems and beautiful mosaics.I found out more information on...More

Although it took us a while to find Villa Romana (our sat nav got very confused) it was definitely worthwhile. We were the only visitors while at the site and enjoyed being able to view the mosaics peacefully. They are stunning. The detail and the...More

Located in town of NOTO (15 mins from Siracusa) and a must see for those who love Italian History, Art, Architecture. These ancient Mosaics are some of best preserved in all of Italy. Visit NOTO and take this site in while there!

Impressive in age and some lovely mosaics but altogether a rather uninspiring attraction. There were no other visitors when we went and I would think Taormina in the north east of the island would be a better option.

This is a Roman villa with a small, but fine collection of mosaics. You can also look at the foundations/ruins of the place, in some cases by looking through the grills you are walking on. Not much explanation in English, but well worth a half...More

Although much smaller than Villa del Casale, this site is quiet and simple. It also has a snack bar about 200m down the road that has seating for about 100. Classes of school children were touring while we were there; and they brought good energy...More

Nothing more to see than the mosaiques, but these are amazing. Very big and almost completely restored. And the entrance is free.

Couldn't believe the quality of the tesara, you need to allow a good couple of hours for your visit.
