Only an hour and thirty minuthes drive from Catania you can find the amazing Vendicari natural reserve which has some great beaches, but marianelli is definitely the least spoiled one where naturism is quite popular. It's a wild beach with no facilities, make sure you bring plenty of water and fruit and a parasol or two. The beach itself can get a little bit crowded but it's quiet and there's always plenty of room on the rocky side, towards calamosche beach

4,50€ to park your car.
3,50€ person “entrance” to the beach/ nature reserve.
Nearly 12€ for a couple to spend the day on the beach.
It’s nice, but they’re are much nicer, more beautiful “free” access, public beaches with powder white sand and turquoise waters in the Balearic Islands. Sorry Sicily.

This beach is beautiful - perfect for naturism and it's LGBT friendly so everyone feels welcome here. Lots of space, relaxing and highly recommended if you are looking for a naturist place in this part of Sicily

It was a little challenging finding this beach- mixed it up with Calamosche- but worth the hunt. Parking was easy at the farm. It’s a hot walk, so make sure you have good shoes. Also in September it was pretty brutal in the sun- bring some kind of shade and plenty of drinks. Nice mix of naturists and LGBT crowd.

We ventured to this beach after touring Noto in the morning. It can be a bit difficult to find but there was a sign off the main road - the road is dirt and rough so we drove our rental car very slowly so it takes a while but it is quite passable. Once you arrive at the end you have to pay 4.50€ to park. As others have said, it is very hot in the summer months and there is no shade for the 10-15 min walk to the beach. It is on a windy dirt path next to a farm land. Then you arrive at a nice beach - it was not too crowded and we easily found a spot to put our towels and umbrellas although on the day we went it was super windy - like it almost broke our umbrellas and they had to rest on the ground. The water is nice and there are small waves to swim in. Our nine year old daughter loved this beach as did we. It is somewhat of a nude beach and there were men (mostly) who were naked and many women were topless - this was very interesting for our daughter. We are fair skinned so we opted to wear shirts to protect us from the sun so we felt a bit weird having shirts on when many were naked but we hope they understood the reason and don not think we were being rude or strange. We were not planning on eating at the restaurant after but were so hungry that we did - that was almost the highlight of the entire visit. You can use your parking vouchure so one or our meals was free. The restaurant we visited right next to the parking area was wonderful - a beautiful serene setting - they have haystacks to sit on and green grass - the grounds are lovely and the food was really good. I even had a vegan burger. We were there as the sun was setting and it was quite beautiful. All in all we enjoyed the restaurant and it had good food at a fair price. The servie was good too. We enjoyed our little adventre to this beach and restaurant. Both are recommended.

Would definitely recommend this beach area. Lovely walks around here with bird life evident in lagoon behind beach. Many flamingos.
Parking is tricky along road, but there is a car park. It is a reasonable walk from beach area, about 20-25 mins, which would be fine if just walking, but not so easy in 30 degrees plus carrying beach umbrella, towels etc.

This was definitely the most peaceful and natural beach we visited in the Vendicari Preserve. It’s probably quieter because it’s nudist. We aren’t into that, but, it certainly seems to keep the crowds away in August. Very clear water. Worth the little extra walk.

Portarsi l'ombrellone!!! in realtà con molta pazienza ed ingegno e dei grossi teli c'è chi si fa una capanna temporanea con pali e bastoni presenti in spiaggia perché portati dal mare...stile Robinson Crusoe! !!
