Beautiful cafe in the heart of Monopoli. We have made this cafe our go to place for many years. This cafe is set in a lovely piazza and has a lovely buzz about it. It seems to have undergone a change of management since being closed last year. The redesigned stylish new interior is beautiful and a great improvement. Sadly the experience was marred by poor staff attitudes. No smiles, no information and monosylabic replies to requests. We ordered 2 cappuchini and 2 cornetto. Reply "we dont have any left" ok what do you have? "Muffin " ok we will have two please. When we wanted to pay the bill we were directed with a wave of the hand "dentro".. On entering we could see a display of a choice of muffin and cakes that we would have happily had a look at before ordering. On paying, no smile or eye contact. Must do better. My Italian husband was disgusted. He has worked in the Restaurant service for more than 40 years and knows bad service when he sees it.

Stopped for lunch. The food was good and portions were large. But the service was moody and slow. Went and helped ourselves to menus and then had to ask three times for the bill. Not an unpleasant place to wait but when you're roasting it's uncomfortable.

An excellent place to stop for lunch, the service is excellent, as is the lovely food. Very fresh and tasty. It has been the best "pranzo" we have had in Puglia!!!. Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent 10 days in Monopoli for a family wedding and Premiato Caffee Venezia was "our" place to go! The most amazing, beautiful town and people I have ever met in Italy. I've traveled all over Italy, but this spot is one of the BEST! There was not a day that went by that we didn't stop by the cafe for coffee, drinks (BEST BEST Mojito Ever), great salads, snack, pizza, breakfast.... It was amazing. It was our gathering stop of the may in town for the wedding. The staff was gracious, accommodating and attentive. I spoke Italian, but many in our group didn't so it was nice that most of the staff did. We would gather for coffee in the morning, lunch time and before and after dinner for drinks. We also stopped a few times for quick early dinner. Right in the middle of the Piazza Garibaldi, it was the Place to Be! Can't wait to go back. ...... I made so many friends!! Thank you so much for an amazing and memorable time!! Miss you all...........

Very simple, yet nice restaurant. Nice sprawling patio, cool breeze in the hot weather. Very nice Aperol Spritz to take the temperature down a bit. We shared the bruschetta that was a mix (2) each of Salmon, Tuna, and vegetable... They were great. We then had one of the local specialties (orecchiette)... It was traditional with the Turnip and like sauce... Very nice, perfectly cooked pasta. Our waiter also helped us as we had a flat bike tire which needed patching, and he was able to find the local bike shop rental owner to try and help us. Above and beyond, thank you so much. Enjoy.

We stopped by for a simple snack lunch of a sandwich and omelette. Food was ok but just that. Service was the usual way tourists are treated with moderate efficiency but no engagement. I would have rated the experience as average until I received the bill, which to my surprise included a cover charge of 2 Euros each. Yes, on close inspection it was in small print at the bottom of the page in the menu (though not on the board outside) and yes, I have been happy paying 2 Euro cover charge at restaurants, but I think it makes a snack item ludicrously expensive at 7 Euros for a mediocre omelette and 7.50 for a pretty average panini. I thought 5 and 5.50 was plenty as per menu price but an acceptable price for a good location cafe, but not an extra 2 on top of that.
It is unusual for me to rate places “poor”, so please take heed.

Visiting the city for holiday with 2 little children (3&6) It was perfect, but as a B&B breakfast Caffe the place was a disaster. Service was terrible, you felt like you bother them. 4 capuccino 4 cornetti were the portion, with 2 kids it would have been obvious to change 2 coffeeis for juices, but they rejected it and we had to pay for 2 orange juice, although we didn't get the 2 more capuccinos and the cornetties were cold and small. It's not about the money but you hardly can find other place open about 9:00 or 10:00 am in Italy, so seen better before...

Went here on 25/07 to have a drink, since it was 35° celcius.
It took them 15 minutes to get us 2 beers and then they even charge 2 euro for service. When I called the waiter to complain about this, he directed me to the owner inside the bar. The only reaction I got was that it was stated on the menu. She didn't care at all. Only the money counts, you're just a bloody tourist for them.
