Perched over the sea, with its commanding position, this is a tremendous spot to sit and ponder. Many bars and restos circle the castle (on the town side), where it's easy and pleasant to have a snack or refreshment and study the castle and its...More

Nice site where you'll find exhibitions and photo oppurtunities. Lovely exhibition of Miro paintings while we were there which was a real treat.

There is exhibition of Joan Miro in the Castle, 6 euro per person, but opened only rooms on first floor, the top of the Castle is closed 😥, we can't see beautiful view on harbour, and ground floor also closed ☹️

This had a Miro exhibition when I visited which was fantastic! The Castello has a superb location overlooking the port.

This castle is well-preserved, and typical of many medieval Italian examples. It comes to life with a good exhibition - ours was a Joan Miro one. Go if there’s something on.

Nice small castle from outside, when we arrived it was closed. Very nice sea view. Very relaxing experience, overall the visit in Monopoli.

As far as castles go, this one’s interior stonework has been restored nicely. However there are no artifacts inside, it’s totally empty and virtually no history or explanations. Just a short placard outside. The views of the Adriatic are grand.

We went in for a photo exhibition, the castle doesn't have much inside left of interest but the panoramic view from the roof is a must see.
