Located in a quiet piazza, somewhat hidden in the Centro Storico’s maze of narrow streets, this 18th century Baroque palace derives inspiration from Lecce’s architecture. Built by the powerful Palmieri family it remained in the family’s control until 1921 when it was made into a School of Arts. The actual building is very impressive and if you have a moment, you should visit it because it is a visual marvel.

Large facade with small coat of arms. Little maintained, so much so that gray predominates and the shutters show signs of age. The square that can be seen when entering from the small lanes is extremely beautiful due to its maintenance conditions and the light from the paving. Very appreciable in the center fountain with multiple taps on each facade in activity where it is pleasant to refresh and drink.

A lovely square especially in the evenings when the sun is not beating down. only a few minutes from main streets but a world away in calmness.
