About
We are an organic and biodynamic winery in Kefalonia island. We consider our vineyards and winery an ecosystem of which balance is essential to be kept in order for the character of our products to be expressed. We cultivate grapes in a sustainable way respecting at the same time nature and animals, we do not use chemical fertilizers and phytosanitary products. We also like minimal intervention winemaking using little to no sulfites and all our fermentations are spontaneous (no industrial yeast added). Come for a wine tasting and discover cephalonian indigenous varietals, natural wines and biodynamic techniques.

Nice winery and super friendly staff
As wine lovers you want something new now and then so we went here to do some tasting. We tasted about 5 wines and all were different and tasted great. Well explained by the staff. Reasonably priced and the Greek wines are getting better by the year. Go here if you want some good advice and buy some beautiful wine.

    Brilliant Wine Tasting experience
Despite a slight mix up over the date, this was an amazing experience. We were given a lovely board of cheese and meats and some beautiful wine to taste. Very informative on this family run business. We walked up from Lixouri (45 mins) and then back. Perfectly safe (2 ladies) I would totally recommend do this 1 hour experience

An enjoyable experience. We got a taxi from lixouri to here €10. Small lovely winery. We had rang in advance to check availability. We opted for the 5 wine tastings for €15 each. A lovely experience in a lovely setting. Explanation about each wine and paired with cheese ,meat or plum. Liked the 2nd white wine the best so purchased a bottle there to enjoy in the environment while waiting for our taxi.

An interesting wine tasting experience near Lixouri
Sclavos wines is a short taxi ride away from Lixouri port or approx 40 min walk. We couldn't tour the vineyard as it was harvest time but went for the 5 wines tasting experience @ 15 €. Our wine guide was Chloe who spoke excellent English. She was enthusiastic & knowledgeable. The story of the vineyard is fascinating and the wines were delicious. The tasting happens on a lovely terrace overlooking the vineyard. You get some nibbles to help things along too. I emailed to book but I think you can just turn up. We always have a day trip from Argostoli to Lixouri when we visit Kefalonia because we like the ferry ride. The winery visit was a nice addition to the day. Lucy

I'm late with this review but we visited in June. Sclavos Wines is about 5-10 mins drive/taxi from Lixouri Square and it was a perfect way to celebrate for a birthday treat. We decided on the 7 wines tasting with the complimentary Charcuterie board which was perfect. I believe it was 20 Euros each. Obviously, don't expect big measures as it is literally a taste, or a splash, of all their different wines on offer but we found it very enjoyable in such a beautiful and peaceful shady setting. We also left with 2 bottles of their wine which we enjoyed during the rest of our holiday. The lovely 'young man' who talked us through all the wines was excellent and very informative. It was all very calm and delightful. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get shown around the barrels room for some reason.

We had a fabulous couple of hours on the beautiful, picturesque terrace at Sclavos winery - tasted several of their wines, white, rosé, red, orange and desert wines.
Our guide, Yiannis, was incredibly knowledgeable, well informed and very engaging. There’s nothing he doesn’t know about the wines, vines, grapes and processed.
The wine is top notch.
We came away with 5 bottles that I can’t wait to enjoy.

Fantastic wine tasting today - if you like the organic and low intervention wines this is definitely the place to go! 18€ a head which includes an amazing organic charcuterie board - with the best goats cheese you’d ever want for! We tasted 7 wines served by a guy who was very knowledgeable and honest about the wines and processes. Having visited two other wineries during our stay this was the most authentic and best. Will definately return on our next visit to Kefalonia.

It is a really great Little local winery. Organic wines of a great quality plus great company of a couple of pet dogs. We had a winetasting for 18€ with 7 different wines and food pairing. The host showed us the vineyard and the tanks. He knew a lot about the wines the history which made it a nice afternoon. Would recommend it to people travelling through Lixouri.

We were pleasantly impressed by this remarkable experience. The host is very welcoming and kind and introduced us to the wine collection. The wines we tried were excellent. We recommend everyone to step on the threshold of this elegant winery. All respect for the same special people and their work!

This is a lovely place to spend an hour or two. We tasted about 5 wines with a charcuterie board under the canopy of vines and in the company of 3 friendly dogs. It is late July and we were alone in the tasting area so had very personal attention. The wines were very drinkable, white, red & rose and the story of the vines and their natural techniques are fascinating.

Beautiful, intimate location. No need to book. Had the 7-flight wine tasting with charcuterie board, all for a steal at 20€. Also walked away with two bottles of local wine for another 22€. Unique and must-do attraction in Lixouri. Cannot recommend more highly; incredible, friendly and knowledgable staff.

Our pourer, Yiannis, was amazing. Excellent knowledge of the vineyards history and of the grapes of the island. Explained to us the processes that differentiated the wines, and was super easy to talk to while juggling the different tables.

The wine itself was great, though not the best we had been to. However the view, the wine and Yiannis combined to make the overall experience the best of the four wineries we visited.

It was a great experience you can literally feel the energy coming from this place so refreshing. I bought some Orgion fell in love with this wine.
Yiannis is a great host and answered all of my questions about biodynamic wines and their techniques. Oh man this guy is a walking library.
Furthermore it's a must do activity when visiting the island.
