We stayed at Landhaus Lengg, Dorfstr. 5, from February 4th to February 9th.
We were given a very warm and friendly welcome upon arrival.
The breakfast was very varied and lovingly prepared.
We received extensive and easy recommendations for our activities.
We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the house.

Well, No one is born a master. We had a trainee as service person so the person did not know so many details about prices, for example. But she was friendly and searched for the information she did not know. And she was not alone so I suppose in the worst case she could have asked her supervisor for help.
As advice for her: It would be nice to make suggestions what to do in Reit im Winkl. She answered on my questions but could have expressed own ideas what to do :-)

You know when you go somewhere and it's jam packed and everybody is asking questions and no-one has time to answer and people are looking for and more frazzled. The Reit im Winkl Tourist Info Centre is NOT THAT PLACE!
I've never been somewhere (apart from Cairns) where the staff were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had all our questions answered. Maps, info, tickets, recommendations, tips and secrets - nothing is too much for the friendly staff, despite the fact that it was high season and people had been queueing and parking and tramping snow all over the place!
It would be nice if the rest of Germany learned from a Reit im Winkl smile :)

No information about the buses that go to Kampenwand. The bus supposedly runs twice a day, but unfortunately only once a day when I visited. Unfortunately, the bus driver couldn't explain why and the ladies at the information desk didn't know the bus route or the stop and wanted to send me to another bus that leaves at 4 p.m. (i.e. 5 hours later). Neither my inquiries nor the internet search yielded any useful information.

A small village in Bavarian Alps surrounded by mountains. Very close to Austrian borders and Tyrol. So green and peaceful that you feel you have crossed over to another dimension.
It's like a fairy tale. Whatever time of the year you visit you will be rewarded. Whether its all green in the Springtime or white from the snow its beauty is never lessen. The amazing figured homes are a pleasant surprise! Very clean and the air coming from the Aipls is a great experience :)
I miss it.....♥

Reim im Winkl is a pretty little town, with not much info on the internet. The girls at the tourist info really helped us on the things to do here. They could speak English.

We were greeted by very friendly staff. They took the time to explain the region and the sights. Selection of brochures is ok.

This is a beautiful compact little town with great hiking and mountain views. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a fun time with the staff in the Reit tourist office. Charming ladies with a great sense of humour. Very informative and helpful. Thanks to the "outpool" girl for making me laugh so much......and for giving me info on the Berchtesgaden Panoramastrasse, which we would have missed. It was wonderful.

This is my grandmother's home town. How would I get here from Denver, Colorado and where would be good place to stay. Is English spoken in some places as my German is minimal. What a beautiful little village.

You can fly to Munich, then take a train to Prien am Chiemsee, then a bus to Reit im Winkl. Lots of places to stay. Most people speak good enough English to make you stay enjoyable.
