The zoo is well thought out, with a great variety of small animals and birds. The path is stroller-friendly, but many of the animal enclosures are designed in such a way that a toddler won't see much if they remain seated in a stroller. I would recommend a baby-carrier or let them walk for them to get the full experience.

There is a great snack bar with a large play area with two zones for two different age groups, one for under 5s and another for older kids. Peacocks and roosters roam freely and pick off the food that has fallen onto the ground, and it can be a little scary for toddlers if they get chased by the large birds. They are pretty harmless though; just good to know they are around.

If your kids are expecting large animals like tigers and giraffes, they may be in for disappointment, the largest animal here is a donkey, and the most exotic mid-sized cat is a serval.

The highlight has to be the petting zoo / feeding area where children can enter the enclosures to feed a bunch of cute and eager goats. The donkeys, in a separate area, can be fed too. Buy the popcorn in advance for this.

It took us 3 hours to complete the whole place, including a long, leisurely hour at the snack bar/play area to let the kids run around and play and recharge, but for older kids who can walk faster and need less play time to get back to their zoo tour, you can budget 2 hours.

Overall, a pleasant place to bring children if you are in the area. But if you are looking for a zoo with bigger animals, head to La Barben.

Bit busy in the morning so we decided to go later in the afternoon. Place is worth to stop and visit. No need for a guide and taking it easy it takes a bit more then one hour. Our son enjoyed the games at the end for children. Easy to park.

A great place to spend time with family or friends. Great to see picnic benches everywhere.

Happy to see ara and peacocks in free. Animals are maintained properly and clean.

Better to take own foods then buying there.

Not big, of course, and no animals that are hard or expensive to contain like elephants and giraffes. That said, a delightful variety is present and some special beauties you won't find everywhere. All seemed active and content.

We went there with my mom as a walk from Sanary Sur Mer.

In October there were almost no people, just local school children.

There are not a lot of animals, but for little kids that would be enough.

There is a relatively big garden with exotic plants that was quite impressive.

If you are in the area perfect place to visit with kids.

Yesterday we visited the little zoo between Sanary and Bandol. I had been there before many long years ago and liked it then, but found this time that it seems to have been redesigned with lots of space to have picnics or just rest.

There are lots of different kinds of animals and that’s where I saw merrcats for the first time. Lots of birds, small monkeys, small “big” cats, wallabies, kookaburras, even a cassowary.

There are also many exotic plants.

There is a little shop and a small cafe (unfortunately not open the day we went).

The people are very helpful, and are happy to answer any question.. on animals or plants.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon. We went on a rainy day but it didn’t spoil our day.

Although we didn’t go with kids, there were quite a few groups of children. The park is well equipped to cater for children.

For people who don’t speak French, all explanations are also in English.

Great day.

We went to this zoo with 3 children and we all had a really nice time. Walked around for 2 hours, watching the animals (looked healthy and well kept) and beautiful cactuses/tropical plants.

As a collector of cacti and succulents I have to say this garden is great with some of the best specimens I have seen. If you are going to see the birds and animals the zoo is small and very popular with pre-school visits! The animals seems happy enough although the enclosures might seem small to some. There seems to be ongoing work to update the pens to give better views and a chance to take photos without wire fencing, which will be great if they get to do it all.
Our visit was in May so the snack bar wasn't open but cold drinks were available from a fridge in the shop.
We enjoyed our visit and I was glad to be able to take photos that didn't have harbours and boats in.

A nice short 2 hour walk through this lovely small park. Clearly new investments are taking place seeing the very nice playground which entertained my 5 year old son for at least 30 min. Price seems high but is compared to other local animal parcs I visited around Europe entirely correct. You do want to pay a fair price to make sure animals are well kept no ? If you are near and it's a rainy day it's worth a visit.
