Enrolled their glass making classes. You could design your own glassware or accessories during the classes. The tutors were helpful and friendly and you would find this a fabulous experience in Abashri!

This museum supports fluorescent glass. Aside from the beautiful glass artwork made made from recycled fluorescent lamps showcased by this museum, you can also try hands on sandblast etching of glassware.

Though it is not that big but it is an interesting place to see so many beautiful glassware and souvenirs made from recycled fluorescent lamps. Prices are a little steep but the workmanship is high quality.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Abashiri. A good place to get something to take back home to remember things. Staff were friendly and the price of things were not too steep.

Ridiculously friendly staff up for a good chat when things are quiet (knowing japanese helps though). Lots of travel-friendly gifts and souveniers along with larger products like wine glasses and shed deer antlers.

This glass museum / shop / cafe is almost right alongside the Aurora Ferry Terminal. I had already spotted it as I like glass, but in case anyone had missed it the staff all wave happily to the Aurora boats as they head out or...More
