色々な鉄道グッズを見る事が出来ました

北海道旅行中、卯原内駅跡へ立ち寄った際にこちらの鉄道記念館を見ました。様々な懐かしい鉄道グッズが有り友人の一人は特に感動していました。

２階の展望室からは能取湖が見えました。

　サロマ湖、オホーツク海、能取湖の沿岸を走っていた、旧国鉄の湧網線。昭和６２年に廃線になりましたが、その卯原内駅は、鉄道公園になっていました。公園横の建物では「エルコンドル」という喫茶店があり、その2階部分に、こちらの網走市鉄道記念館がありました。
　２階が展示室ですが、あいにく閉館中だったようで、展示品を見ることができませんでしたが、展望室のようなところからは北側に広がっている能取湖を見ることができました。

廃線になった湧網線の資料館です

　網走市にある能取湖の南岸に、卯原内と言う地区があります。ここはかつて湧網線という鉄道が通っていて、駅があった場所なんだそうで、「卯原内鉄道公園」になっていました。その公園内に、こちらの鉄道記念館がありました。
　１階はカフェが営業中で、その２階部分が資料館になっていました。公園内のＳＬもシートに覆われていましたし、こちらの記念館も閉館中だったようで、館内を見ることはできませんでした。

汽車を見れます！

国鉄から譲り受けた鉄道が展示されていて、中を見ることができます。
トイレも利用でき、サイクリングロード沿いにあり有り難いです。

廃線となった駅舎を活用

１９８７年、廃線になった旧湧網線の卯原内駅跡を活用した施設です。旧駅舎は鉄道記念館として保存され、２階は資料館になっています。懐かしい駅名板や制服などが展示されています。

卯原内駅跡にあります。今から30年も前に廃止された湧網線の小さな記念館です。地元で廃校になった学校の記念館と同居しています。普段は施錠してあるので一階の喫茶で開けてもらいます。
