Nice challenge and kind monk

Located next to Jodoji, Kairyu-ji is the 7th stop of the 7 temple route.

Behind the temple also a rock mountain with chains for climbing experience.
For those who want to experience the similar chain climbing at Mt. Ishizuchi, it is a good opportunity to test your stamina.

The monk in the temple was kind enough to give me a pair of free glove to climb the chain as it was evening and the chains were extremely hot.

It was a nice workout for 1st and 2nd chain, but I not manage to go for the 3rd as it was getting dark. It is some distance between 2nd and 3rd chain. Make sure you have sufficient time to spare.

As for the return, I took the alternate 'jungle route'. Somehow I got lost, but as long as you follow the down slope direct, you will eventually reach the temple. But the jungle route' can be dangerous as it seems like not so frequent visited. Some tracks were covered by leaves and broken branches are everywhere.

After all, the climb was satisfying and rewarding.
