lovely walking trail along the river

It was hot and muggy but we still enjoyed our walk. There were interesting shrines and restaurants along the trail.

This was a beautiful place to walk and it seemed like most of the people walking around town didn't bother to walk along the river for some reason but we were grateful that they only seemed to focus on the 2 bridges in town. Some of the scenery is gorgeous along the way. Especially the moss covered rocks and roots!

The trail was easily accessible from town, a 5 min walk from the Yamanaka bus stop where you can cross the red bridge and walk along the picturesque river. Photos helped me remember the beauty, but there was... More

A wonderful walk along the gorge, amongst the trees and the autumn leaves... So refreshing and romantic, a must do on a beautiful sunny day!

This is an easy hike along a mostly paved walking trail on even ground and should be suitable for people with varying levels of physical fitness. There are some steps but they are not very steep. The scenery by the river is great, the entire walking trail is about 1.3km and you will pass by the Basho hut, a few... More
