This is the only atmaling in the world. The temple is spacious and the crowd managment is decent. Should be avoided during the times like Shiva Ratri. Foreigners are not allowed inside the garbha driha for some reason however they can enter the temple complex....More

I suggest you visit the temple when it is not too crowded. This is much simpler than you expect it to be for the hype and history it has. However, the vibes are extremely positive after the dharshan.

The temple is one of the sacred place for Hindus. There are many stories about the temple describing it's history and legend. One can get to know in detail by the local guides or by reading "Gokarna khsetra purana" book which are available in shops...More

This is a nice temple but to be visited only if you have faith. For non-believers there are no architectural attractions. There are Usual posse of priests but are not bothersome. One can spend 30 minutes at this temple

We went there by 3pm...the temple closed & opened at 4 pm only.. Meanwhile we went to the beach which is opposite to the temple.. Spend some time there... Waves are furious there.. Kids enjoyed canal ride.. Then we went to the temple.. Long queue...More

Best would be to book a flight to Goa or Mangalore and then take a cab from there. Else you also have few trains which would take a days journey to reach Gokarna.
