I have traveled with shivang and his team for three wildlife photo safaris so far, two of which were in most serene locations Spiti valley and Patagonia to track and photograph some elusive big cats. All the trips were professionally managed and at all time I felt my comfort and safety was taken care of, even in these remote locations.
Shivang Metha is one of the finest wildlife photographers out there, his style not only focuses on get the composition right but also using light to create art. Photographing alongside shivang is quite a learning experience, especially for budding photographers like me.
I would highly recommend Nature Wanderers to experience wildlife in India and Abroad

I have had a the privilege of doing three trip to the Sub Continent with Nature Wanderers.
One to Ranthambore to photograph Tiger and two to Spiti Valley / Kibber to Photograph Snow Leopard.
The entire experience has always been a pleasure.
I take as great a pleasure in planning a trip as making it, and the correspondence with the team was always prompt, informative and very patient [with my barrage of questions].
On arrival, all arrangements have been exactly as promised and this is a huge plus point when traveling to photograph wildlife as it frees your mind time to the subject at hand.
Our two trips to Spiti were particularly special as the journey isn't for the faint of heart, and being with knowledgeable folks who take care of the detail is extremely important.
In addition to this, the fact that the guides on the two Spiti trips were renown photographer Saurabh Desai on the first and Shivang himself on the second was a tremendous bonus.
This ensured the addition of excellent company on cold evenings around the fire, swapping stories of travel and wildlife around the world and great humor fulled by generous portions of Old Monk, which has since become a personal favorite of mine .
Wildlife travel is in-itself is something I love, but when coupled with a great team making things happen and excellent knowledgeable photographers guiding you, it makes for memories and experience that is truly one of a kind.
I look forward to my next trip with the Nature Wanderers family. I know it will be exceptional.

No other animal fascinates me as much as the snow leopard. I have often followed its footprints in the Himalayas without seeing it. Then in March 2019 I saw it for the first time, in the Annapurna area. After that I searched the internet and social media for everything, I could find about the snow leopard. The most impressive pictures I saw, led me to Nature Wanderers.
I had great respect for the adventurous journey to the remote mountains in the Indian Himalayas and for the high altitude and the cold in the winter months. After a long exchange with Shivang Mehta and his team I was encouraged to go for it.
What we experienced exceeded all my expectations.
On several occasions during my three weeks stay we saw seven different snow leopards, one male, one pair mating and a mother with three cubs. We also saw many other wild animals and birds. The rocky canyons were spectacular for unique photos.
Shivang's leadership was competent, amicable and inspiring. I got to know exciting photographers from different parts of the world.
Our dear host family provided living comfort under difficult conditions, varied food and transportation. The ability of our trackers to find the animals in the hidden cliffs is phenomenal. Our individual assistants were extremely strong, helpful and friendly.
All in all a unique experience for a lifetime.
What makes me worry is the increasing number of photographers who want to see and capture the snow leopards. How many of them can be absorbed by nature and infrastructure? I think not many more than now.

This Blog is written under supervision by Ms. Avantika Kumar (Age 10) on her first wildlife trip with parents.
My first wildlife at Jhalana Leopard Reserve in Jaipur was amazing because I had never seen wild animals outside the zoo so this was my first time seeing them in the wild. This trip was organized by Nature Wanderers.
There are many different animals like monkeys, hyenas, peacocks/peahens, birds, nilgai, deers, and leopards obviously. The hyenas don’t come out much so we didn’t see any. There are many leopards named by the first person who spotted them. There are 47 leopards in Jhalana.
Immediately after lunch, we were to leave for my first ever wildlife safari. The moment I spotted the open jeep that would take us to the safari I ran out of the hotel and sat in it. Driving within the city in the open jeep had people staring at us in surprise. We were driving around in the forest when the driver and ranger identified a strong squirrel call. We waited near a water hole, engines switched off, pin-drop silence. Then suddenly between the trees, I saw a creature walking out …… and Oh My God! it was a leopard. A burst of excitement I wanted to scream but I had to follow the rules. I then took out the camera went click! click! Click!
She was Flora, getting ready to catch a meal…….. she got nothing so had to drink water.
I took almost a thousand pictures. Allen uncle from Nature Wanderers perched me on the jeep helping me take the best pictures. We spotted 4 leopards namely Flora, Rana, Tim-Tim, and Rambo.
Driving around in the Jeep was like being on a roller coaster. The jeep skidded and bounced over rocks to reach us to various locations where we could see the leopard. All through such rides, my mother was holding on to the metal handle so tight almost carving the impression of her fingers on it.
I remember that there was a very tall tower and at its very tip a peahen was sitting, I didn’t know that peacocks could fly so high. leopards can camouflage really well, it took my mom and I twenty minutes to spot the leopard among the rocks.
My yipee moment was when Shivang Sir posted my picture on Nature Wanderers Instagram for which I got more than 150 likes. If you’re going for the morning safari make sure to bring a jacket cuz it could get really cold. Like freezing and with the jeep moving it gets even colder 🥶but really refreshing ☺.
……………. my wish is to go on a tiger safari with Shivang Sir and Kahini Ma’am. Thank you once again for introducing me on a new hobby for the rest of my life !!

India is a vast country having the most diversified natural beauty. Different regions offer unique natural treasure. To experience the beauty of such treasure one need to have someone who knows the topography of that particular region or area.
Nature Wanderers Perfectly fit the bill in this respect. Last month I had been to Corbett National Park, the trip organized by them. The entire trip was so meticulously planned, arranged and executed that no word is enough to appreciate the same. Not even once there was any hitch or delay or confusion in any. Right from vehicle arrangements to hotel management everything was done with precision perfection. Hats off to their professionalism.
Lucky enough that we were guided by Mr. Shivang Mehta himself. Being such a famous personality he is so down to earth and affable that we never felt overawed by his presence. He was always ready to help out and explain in lucid manner the nuances of photography. He guides people to exploit their own creativity to its best so that one can create his own style of photography without flouting the basics. He might have trained hundreds of amateur in his life but still his zeal and enthusiasm to teach are untiring that of the qualities of rare genius. His mastery on animals’ behavior and nature are so strong that it can be gauged by a simple fact that in three and half days we had six safaris and we had seen tiger every time besides the other animals.
The entire trip was so cherishing and memorable that I would love to go again and again with them to other national forests.
Keep it up, you have set a standard hard for others to emulate.

Nature Wanderers, organized our trip to Bandhavgarh between 3 rd may to 7 th may ‘23 inclusive. Every aspect of the trip was seamlessly crafted. The company was great and with the team leader Ekta Marda, every trip was so professionally organized to perfection. She is a patient and extremely warm leader, giving equal attention to all. I have learned a lot under Ektas guidance and look forward to many such wonderful trips with her and Nature Wanderers.
