We liked this beach very much. It is the best if you like having long walks although it is not so easy. Strangely, there is sand then there are small stones, smaller sand and stones again and it keeps changing every 10 meters.
It is quite windy and for this reason it may be frustrating after a while. We were with kids and after a while it was getting trying to stay with the wind. If you walk to towards north, you see kite surfers. It's nice to watch them but the beach is reserved for them so you have to be careful. There were many dogs as well.
There are couple of places to eat and drink near the beach.
The water is so clear and beautiful but some parts there are rocks and can be dangerous for children. definitely great but not for whole day. If you want to be close to the town and have a couple of hours to swim, then go there! Also the view of the hill is fantastic.

We went walking on the beach which had wonderful views across the sea. We stopped in one of the many bars and enjoyed a cool drink and nibbles. A lovely spot just to sit and watch the world go by.

The beach is both organized and nature oriented. The water is wonderful, the sense of the place is amazing. You can rent sunbeds or not, you have parking around, restaurants and pubs, the place is really amazing.

We stayed just 3 minutes away from this beach and became our home-beach for the entire stay, either by coming to it after returning from the town or by soaking in the sun and bathing first thing in the morning, even before breakfast that we had at some local taverns and pubs.

You can also see amazing sunsets from the beach or from a pub here.

After having seen 50 kites in the air at the same time, we inquired with the local kite school. They offered us a good price for a semi private lesson. The experience was incredible. We will go back.

Mikros Poros was a nice beach, cosy, not too big, not too small, with emerald water and all facilities (parking, several restaurants, beach chairs and umbrellas). The water is calm and the beach is quiet (no boats bringing more turists). Otherwise, it’s not a special beach.

AGIOS IOANNIS BEACH is a sandy and stony beach on the northwestern coast of the island, known for windmills and sunsets. It is very popular among surfing practitioners because the sea is always shaken by strong air streams. It also bears the name of Miloi Beach. In the north side of the beach is sandy, and less crowded.

Shingly and rather scrubby stretch of beach that borders the peninsula. With a bit of TLC it could be transformed as it is rather wild looking with untidy messy areas - but then there is such a varied choice on Lefkada that it shouldn't matter.
It is a good spot for taking sunset photos and the old windmills add some charm.

This is a nice beach with beautiful water. Since the beach itself is quite long, it was not overcrowded, even in high season (August). There are several bars/restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat, too. My experience was that this beach was quite a bit windier than other beaches in Lefkada, especially in the afternoons. As a result, the most northern part of the beach is a magnet for kite surfers in the afternoon. I kind of liked the kite surfers as it added life to the scene and it was quite picturesque.

Very nice beach and close to Lefkada Town. It's not as pretty as the breathtaking beaches on the other side of the island, but it's still beautiful and very convenient for a quiet day at the beach without much fuss. The beach bars are also very nice for a refreshing drink after swimming.
