Eating near Bogota.
Apr 2019
Nice place. Good food. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Eye candy if you look around. Weird birds. Pretty lake (fake lake, made from a dambed river). Pleasant drive from Bogota.

Hot springs Coconuco
Jan 2020
This was a long trip from Cali but worth it. The hot springs have a natural sulfur smell with various pools with different hot to warm temperatures. I believe we paid 10,000COP per person to enter. There is ample room for many with dressing rooms and showers. Outside there are tables and chairs, benches to sit out and cool off. There are restaurants close by and the thermal pools parking lot was large enough for a big gathering. On the way there are hotels and restaurants. Before the end of the road, there is a spectacular waterfall. All-in-all it was invigorating hot springs with mountain stream cold water running out of the rocks and a nice change with fresh cool air. Go! You won't be disappointed the longer you are in the thermal pools the more you want to leave!

Relaxing activity park
Jun 2017 • Couples
A great day trip destination from Popayan or even one night stay in Coconuco. It is an activity park for a whole family with some amazing views.

You get three big hot spring - pools with different temperatures: two of them are not very warm. There is a one slide which gives you quite a good speed! Behind the slide there is a natural pool with veey clear water and some small fish!

Do not leave this place without having a mud bathing: I felt so good after covering my body with a warm black mineral mud! The area is clean and well-maintened. You get good directions from the entrance and feel safe in the area. Do not worry if it rains because the experience gets even better! The price was 18 000 COP in 06/17 and you can spend the whole day there. I heard that during the weekends it gets busy by local visitors but we were there on Saturday afternoon and were almost the only visitors!

Fun for the family. Beautiful landscape
Apr 2015
It has beautiful surroundings. The slide is a lot of fun for all ages and the small clear pool on top of the slide is wonderful.

Nice relaxing place during the WEEK
Jun 2014 • Solo
They are note exceptional but nice hostspring, the landscape is beautiful, there are various swimming pools, one with mud and others with different temperatures. Cheap food there (not very good) and lockers (bring your padlock, or rent it there for 3000 COP). It can be very cold up there so bring clothes and a good towell. And above all, don't go there during the week-end !!! It's then full of kids and one can hardly enter the pools (and definitely not enjoy them), and the drivers (motos and jeeps) down in the village of Coconuco are so DRUNK that you don't want to go with them (and it's a sad view of the village, all these men drunk lying in the streets, bothering you...) - this was a Sunday, I don't know about Saturdays. The best way to do it is with Hosteltrail bike tour I think : you go by car and come back by bike (30km, mainly downhill !). Unfortunately I discovered this option too late.
