Great beach for a day of relaxation and enjoying the fruits of the Notheast Brazilian culture. At low tide the beach reaches long into the ocean and is perfect for a beautiful stroll. At high tide the water is shallow until far from the shore and is safe for swimming with kids. You can also find cockles (mariscos) all over... More

I liked the left hand side of it. We went for a nice walk. The right hand side was scruffy - ugly buildings, what looked like a squat, lots of litter and general rubbish on the beach. No nice bar to have a beer.

This is a well developed district, the largest of the Municipality of Maragogi outside the commercial and political urban center. It has some pousadas as well as a few good restaurante like Mano's. It has very shallow water especially at lower tides.
