Chona picked me and my brother up from our hotel and we went to grab the bikes. Which were easy to ride and loads of fun. The wineries visited were far better than another tour the day previous, and Chona was a great 'guide'. I say that because he was not as much guide as really good guy who liked to chat. We stayed too long at the first winery due to an excellent picnic/wine and drank some really good malbecs (Chona convinced the hosts to let us taste a little of their premium selection, which is priced at around $100 US). The second winery was equally good, with an excellent selection. After that the tour kept going! We went for a beer on a hill to watch the sun set over the Andes, then for the best lomito ever (dodgy restaurant, awesome food - exactly what we wanted). After we finished eating my brother and I were keen for a few beers, Chona was too so he took us to a bar (I think the tour was officially over, but we were all just having fun so we kept going) we had a great evening at a bar in Mendoza. I cannot reccomend this enough, our full day tour ended up going for around 13 hours... Chona is not a guide, he is a friend who shows you his neighbourhood. If you do one thing in Mendoza, make sure you take this tour.

Don't get me wrong, riding around on electric bikes was an absolute gas, but it was Chona who made the day extra special. He picked us up at out hotel. After explaining how to operate the bikes, we "practiced" our driving skills in a very quiet neighborhood. I guess we passed the test run because soon we were driving on the streets of Coria de Chacras and on our way to Alta Vista, the first of two wineries that we visited. The tour and tasting here was our favorite. We stayed longer than we were supposed to because we were having such a nice time talking to the hostess, other tasting guests and Chona. As a result we arrived at Clos de Chacras, a smaller boutique winery, an hour late, but we were still able to tour and taste. We didn't plan on buying any wine because we didn't want to drag additional baggage on our continued journey of Argentina, but we couldn't resist after tasting and purchased at both wineries. At the end of our tour, two hours longer longer than advertised, Chona was so kind and ran us back to the wineries in his car to pick up our purchases before taking us back to our hotel. Chona's kindness did not stop here. As he was driving us back to our hotel, he mentioned that he was going into the town of Mendoza that evening, a 20 minute drive, and said he would be happy to pick us up on his way and show us good restaurant options. We accepted his offer, which saved us cab fare and ensured good food for dinner. Chona runs Eco Bikes Wine Tours as a side business and mentioned several times he does it because he enjoys meeting people. It shows! This tour was the most fun thing my adult daughter and I did in Argentina and should not be missed. Thanks Chona.

My friend and I visited Mendoza for a very short visit. We were fortunate to book an ecobikes tour on our first morning. Nacho arrived on time to collect us from our hotel and was very personable from the outset. We drove to collect the bikes. They are great fun and a fantastic way to tour around for anyone regardless of your fitness. We met another couple of people and had a great tour seeing contrasting vineyards. The tour was great but Nacho as a host made the difference. We returned the bikes, had a great lunch at a restaurant Nacho recommended. I would completely recommend this to anyone. I will return to Mendoza again and will be sure to contact Nacho for more adventures.

We just came back from a half day bike tour and had the best time with Chona. He is such a relaxed and friendly guy, it feels like you have known him for years! He picked us up by car from our hotel and drove us to a little village close to Mendoza. There we mounted our awesome electric bikes! They are very similar to normal bikes, except you don't have to paddle! They go about 40 km/hour (25 miles), which is enough to have fun and feel safe at the same time. We visited and toured through (with English guides) two very different wineries and tasted some beautiful wines, but the highlight was driving along the open road and seeing the amazing mountains around you! What an experience.

We had a fantastic experience with Eco Bikes! Chona was so accomodating! He took us out for a delicious breakfast in the morning in a beautiful little road-side cafe and then drove us out to the mountains surrounding Mendoza for a cycle around the lake. The scenery was beautiful and the bikes themselves are so much fun! The bikes were in good condition and easy to use, even for those of us with little experience on a bike! It is like a normal bike but it helps you out a little bit as well! Chona paid good attention to safety and was always around to lend a hand if needed! He was a great tour guide who told us all about the surrounding areas and points of interest but he's more than that... He's the friend we never had in Argentina! Overall great experience! Definitely recommended!
