This is a great place to rent gear, get lessons, and get some extra help if you're new to the area. The owner and instructors are very professional. Especially being Puerto Rico, they answer email and calls. Another point that is big with me is safety, and the staff keeps things safe. The beach can get crowded, they'll go the... More

I brought my own kites and harness and rented a cabrinha trigger from 15 knots for $30/day. Worked out great, but unfortunately no waves off Isla Verde beaches on the days that I could ride. I observed them teach a couple of people while I was there and they seem to do a great job, including jet ski assisted water... More

Having read the reviews I had high expectations and wasn't disappointed. Although the hotel that they were operating out of was shut down (the only visible sign of the school is now a flag planted on the beach in front of the abandoned hotel, with the school's name on it ), everything about the school's instructors, equipment and attitude is just... I thought I'd share about our beautiful spring break down to PR a few weeks ago & the fantastic experience my family & I had with 15 Knots! Sure, there was the requisite Puerto Rican crystal-clear water, 80-degree sun, and non-stop wind (we were 7 for 7 kiting /10M days!), but more importantly, the kite support and instructional staff at... This is perhaps the most approachable crew I've seen in this business. They are so friendly and helpful to the folks that come in and just need gear or those that want instruction on best practices in getting their feet wet in kiteboarding. There are those who prefer flat water but where the are located is perfect for beginners too.... More

I had a custom 3-hour lesson with 15 knots and it was perfect. It was paced exactly as I wanted, covered exactly what I wanted, and they were super professional in the entire process. I highly recommend 15 knots.

Living in a paradise island, kitesurfing is a great excuse to spend more time at the beach and connect with nature. Since I first saw the kites in action I knew I wanted to do it. I scheduled lessons at different schools in the island and was very disappointed with the service. When I was giving up, I contacted 15... More

This was one of my favorite activities in Puerto Rico. We took a taxi to what we thought was the place. We ended up calling Juan Carlos who set up the whole thing for us, and he picked us up and drove us to the location. He was very helpful to us. Our instructor, Freddy, was absolutely wonderful. It took... More

Juan Carlos accommodated myself and 2 others on Vieques Island beside Puerto Rico with semi private kiteboarding lessons. Freddy, our 15 Knots instructor, was very professional and an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor. He flew over with the equipment from San Juan (3 kites, 4 harnesses, and a board). Juan Carlos set up a taxi to pick... More
