We had a fabulous time kayaking with Keishya. She was so patient in teaching us how to get in and out of kayak etc. With her instructions anyone can do this trip with ease. She was very informative about kayaking itself and was very knowledgable about the island and its monkey friends. Learned so much. Also she pointed out monkeys all the time to make sure we saw plenty of them. I recommend doing this trip since it is relaxing and fun! can't wait to see you agin when we come back o visit ! Thank You!!

Thanks so much for your upbeat review of our ecotour!!! It was my distinct pleasure to be your guide. I am so glad you all enjoyed the experience. Seems like another lifetime with the current COVID-19 and the restrictions we are all working with the #stopthespread and #flattenthecurve. Stay well , stay healthy, stay home and #sharethecare . I hope to be able to welcome you again in the not to far away heathy future!

Making preparations to visit my sister and her husband in Puerto Rico, my sister mentioned this tour. It was on her bucket list of things to try. I absolutely love watching monkeys doing their thing, and so I immediately worked on reservations. We were only going to be in PR for three days, and I was dismayed to find that no openings appeared available on our dates. I called Barefoot Travelers directly and left a message. Within the same day, Keiysha called me back and we were able to arrange a time to do the tour on a day that worked best for our schedule. She was very flexible and accommodating. Three days before the tour, she called to let me know that the weather was not likely to be ideal (rain and wind, turbulent waters) for our reserved day, and suggested we do a different day. I’m so glad she had the foresight to call me in advance so we could arrange a better day for the tour. It turned out to be the best day of our trip. The waters were calm and the weather was just perfect for our tour. Following Barefoot Traveler's excellent directions to the meeting point, we found Keiysha waiting with kayaks and gear ready. We’ve all kayaked before but we’re no experts. Keiysha walked us through how to use the kayaks and paddles, which turned out to be incredibly helpful as we were making our way to the island. We found the monkeys right away at the spot Keiysha brought us to and found the monkeys so fascinating and were able to take a ton of pictures. In addition to giving us interesting insight into the history of the island and the monkeys, she would point out things the monkeys were doing that our untrained eyes might have missed. The oldest one in our group is 67 and we all had no problem completing the tour. We were so impressed with Keiysha’s knowledge of the island and how patiently she answered all the questions. She provided us dry sacks so we could bring our cameras without concern of them getting wet. She really thought of everything to make our trip to the island safe, comfortable and enjoyable. While we were there, we also visited the rainforest and Old San Juan, but I have to say that this tour was the highlight of our trip. If you want an intimate kayak tour of this island with an expert and friendly guide, I would highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money.

This experience was way more than we'd anticipated. We had hoped that perhaps we would see a couple of monkeys if we were lucky -- instead we saw hundreds of them! Whole groups engaging with each other, tremendous activity -- and Keishya our tour guide has a comprehensive understanding not only of the island and the monkeys, but kayaking as well. She made the whole experience one to remember!
