Beautiful and large beach with beautiful faraway views, beautiful swimming, we thought we saw a small shark.

Very nice beach with a number of restaurants in town of Le Gosier. Good place to chill with a book or children.

Beautiful beach with amenities near by such as a public rest room and restaurants. Lovely sand, and great views, we stopped for a dip here almost every day of our stay.

The cab driver who took us from the cruise port told us we were going to Le Gosier Beach. It was part of the Resort Gosier, next to Hotel Fleur d’Epee. I could not find this exact beach location on TripAdvisor, but it is on the coast and part of the Plague de la Datcha (Datcha Beach) area. I think it may be around the point at the end of Datcha Beach. It took about 20 mins. by taxi from the cruise port to get here ($30US each way).
Very surprised about the road infrastructure on Guadeloupe. Much more developed than other Caribbean islands.
This is a small but really nice beach area with coconut palms for shade. Also, we found nice lounge chairs (free). I guess they are part of the hotel(s). There are a few hotels in this area. There is a beach bar/rest., but it is kinda pricey - part of the hotel - 5EU for a beer, and 20EU for a burger - Jeez!
But the beach and views of Point-A-Pitre are great, with boats passing by - like ferries and freighters coming in and out of the port.
We had a nice day here, very relaxing and the swimming was nice.
The cab driver basically let us off next to the hotel, and we walked down the road on the right to the beach. Kind of a hidden place, unless you stay at the hotels.

We arrived on the cruise ship and headed over to a close beach that was very nice with places to eat and of course enjoy the beach..It was spectacularly beautiful and I know we need more time there. The islanders here have had their tussles with taking the island off the cruise circuit to remain a more elite island, so I made sure to practice my French when asking for a table or shopping in the stores! The beach is lovely - I would like to return sometime in the future..

I really liked that Plage de la Datcha. Many people come here to enjoy the sun, the ocean and the island nearby.

There are always a lot of ships on the ocean.

There are trees and it helps people not to be burned.

Naturally there are also people who bring a parasol for the shade.

Kids always have fun on the beach and the ocean.

The sand is comfortable to walk on it.

This is a must to see!

Enjoy!

The best beach we found in Guadeloupe. We went to Bouillante, Le Moule, St-Anne, well, pretty much everywhere and we kept going back to that one. You can eat on the beach because there are a couple of restaurants. The beach is clean, the water is clear.
Just overall a nice spot.

This beach is a fun place to watch the sunset and eat and have a few drinks in the restaurants on the beach. It is a small beach with quite a few people but really fun. You can rent kayaks and paddle to Islet de Gosier

The beach is more crowded then others on the island but still beautiful. A lot of restaurants and cafés around it. The sunset is nice too

First you should know, we do not speak French and the people we encountered spoke very little English. The day we were there, the taxis were nowhere to be found so we took the city bus (paid in euro's) and had an adventure. The beach was lovely, with a few shops and small restaurants. We sat under the umbrella’s and enjoyed a delicious lunch and had a great day.
