Tumbled upon this museum while on the road to Ottawa.
It was an hidden marvel!
They have new exhibits which look pretty modern.
The kids loved the interactive map.
It's got like motion sensors which are pretty sleek!
They offer a tour with a guide, which is included in the entry price.
It was given in either french or english.
Refreshens the taste for History.
Would go back!

We stumbled across the museum by accident, but if you are in this part of the world then you should visit. Fascinating and a bit quirky, well-informed guide as well.

The whole experience of the museum is terrific.
A short ferry ride takes you to the museum which is a historic 19 century stone building. The building is stunning. The vistas tremendous. And it is just off the beaten track.
A true find. Bring your picnic.
There is something of interest for everyone including a hockey cup made from milk pails and a penny farthing bicycle and old military uniforms From the 19th century.
The staff are charming and offer to take you on a private tour. They were very helpful.
We went to see information about cardiologist, Dr Maude Abbott, who lived in the area and helped found the museum.
