Very nice experience: here is a nice little museum (with exhibitions including the famous Christorama) and a charming shop. Without forgetting the workshop and the kindness of the hostesses. The place is located in Château-Richer along boul. Ste-Anne - easy to access.

Very cool place that was part of our day trip out to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre. Opened by Albert Gilles and run by his wife and daughter. Lots of examples of families talent with copper. Wonderful display of his story of the life of Christ was quite impressive.

What a nice surprise stop on our tour of attractions outside of Quebec City. Cuivres D' Art has the most amazing copper artwork and pieces I have ever seen. Albert Gilles, the founder was born in Paris and mastered the art of sheet metal embossing. He has done work for many churches across North America. He has left a beautiful legacy for his daughters and family to continue his work with copper. There is a museum and a short tour about the place and Albert Gilles. It is so interesting how they make the copper pieces and the amount of time and patience it takes. There are many pieces for sale at very reasonable prices. I never expected to see so much copper artwork in one place.

This is a lovely workshop, shop, museum and family hang-out all rolled into one. It was part of our Quebec City and Countryside tour and we feared it was going to be one of these hard-sell places where you feel bad if you don't buy something, but not in the slightest.
It's all family-run and the late owner's wife and daughters were all there. Another lady showed us round and demonstrated how the copper items are made and we had a wander round all the exhibits on show. Absolutely fascinating!
I did indeed decide to buy something as a memento of this visit - a lovely hand-made on the premises copper bangle which only cost £24 which I felt was very reasonable.
We thoroughly enjoyed this part of our trip and would recommend it to other visitors to Quecec.

This little shop is worth a stop. There are beautiful copper pictures and gift items. Friendly staff. I even had the privilage of talking to his daughter who works in the store.

Visited the museum while on a Canadian tour. Albert Gilles was an amazing artist. His family has continued the gift of working with copper.

Our tour stopped at this wonderful Museum with Gift Shop. Wow!! Not enough time to marvel at all the wonderful pieces. Nice demonstration too. Came home with some fabulous jewelry at extremely reasonable prices. It is definitely worth your time to stop by this family-run business. I wish I had time to go back on my own. Next time!

What a fabulous place! What gorgeous jewelry! Notwithstanding the amazing copper doors and other art effects.According to brochures, "This art studio was founded 88 years ago by a genuine artisan, Albert Giles, whose family has created exclusive copper works and architectural pieces for clients around the world. See copper ore in its natural state and learn about embossing techniques at the two onsite museums and gift shop. Albert Giles crafted the doors of the Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre Basilica. Open year round. No charge for admission. Lots and lots of things to purchase, all one of a kind items.

This place has the most gorgeous copper art work. It is quite large and beautifully organized. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had many reasonable priced pieces of art you could purchase, and quite a variety!

This is great because you get to design and create your own design on a copper imprint. It only takes 3 tools and is a very cool thing to do.
