Golf course is fantastic, extremely well looked after by the ground staff. Club Pro very helpful, all staff extremely friendly. Some challenging holes but the views from the tees and greens are fantastic

We buy bunkered vouchers and choose 3 courses to play annually. This year BGHC was chosen. Four of us played on a beautiful day in early September. The course is in perfect condition especially as it's been so wet recently! The views were spectacular. The pro was super friendly and even let us out earlier than we booked. We ate in the club house - delish food. The spicy chilli soup is highly recommended. My only wee niggle is that the club house is quite tired but considering this is the 10th oldest course in the world - I will let it slide!

Many thanks for the review. I can't argue with anything you say. The Clubhouse is in need of a bit of TLC, as the fabric of the building is so old. Hopefully more visitors will generate enough for us to do so, sooner rather than later. Haste ye back.

We played Burntisland, Aberdour and Kinghorn three days in a row. Best was Aberdour. But Burntisland is an attractive quirky course with interesting holes - a couple of them would fit nicely in a giant crazy golf course. But these 18 holes have enough variety to be rated as a great day out on a good day and the views are great.

Very friendly reception at Clubhouse and in Pro's shop. Course in great condition in early May. Only down side was that it was a bit hilly on the course. Good day out had by all though

We played here today using 'FREE' Tickets obtained via the "Scottish Golf Show". There were 3 reasons we decided to play here ...
1 - the course was described as a "Cliff Top Paradise" on the shows website.
2 - the courses history ... we're on a mission to play all courses involving 'Old Tom Morris' & 'James Braid'.
3 - it's the 10th Oldest Club in the World.
Disappointingly, this course turned out to be more 'hilly walk with nice views' than "Cliff Top Paradise" ... It's a nice enough course to play, but nothing more.
Issues we encountered here were two 'Members' hitting Tee Shots directly at us despite easily being able to see us on the fairway in front of them & the fact that the wheels fall off the Trolleys available for Hire ... when we informed the 'Pro Shop' of this, the member of staff just laughed & said "did it no work?" ... not the response you're hoping for after having to put the wheel back on 4-5 times per hole!
We would however like to take this opportunity to thank both "Mixu Paatelainen" & his 'playing partner' who, recognising that we were Visitors, took time to advise us on course layout & made us feel welcome here ... not an impression we got from anyone else, no one even asked if we'd enjoyed the course after our round ... most unusual!!
Usual Green Fees would have been £36 each ,,, but today we played FREE.

Me and my friend played 2 rounds at this beautiful golf course yesterday. Having booked 1 round online via a deal for £12 per head, the friendly staff at the club shop matched that price for our 2nd round.

My friend arrived with no driver and was willing to buy one from the club shop, the club pro allowed my friend to use a 2nd had driver that was for sale to see how he liked it, a nice touch I thought and my friend bought it after our 1st round.

Luckily for us we couldn't have picked a more beautiful day, clear blue skies and just a gentle breeze made our day even better. The course is not very long however there are quite a lot of blind shots and for two visitors playing for the 1st time a bit of hit and hope was in order.
Be prepared for some challenging hill climbs as a few of the holes have very steep fairways leading up to greens and some of the pathways to the next tee are also quite steep.

Overall we had a fantastic day with the highlight being the spectacular views from the par 3 6th green, simply breathtaking.

By accident, we arrived early and the professional could not have been more helpful in getting us off early. We elected, as over 60's, to take a buggy and it was a big help. The course was immaculate and the greens even better and the fastest I've played on all year. The views are amazing over to Edinburgh and up and down the coast. We went into the clubhouse and had an excellent lunch from the stewardess and her staff. (And it was half the price of the restaurants we had when visiting Pitlochry earlier in the week). Virtually every member asked us how we enjoyed the course and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly return.

This course is quite a challenge, although the holes are not particularly long the majority of the holes are very hilly and the pins are usually hidden from site. However, the views from the greens to Burntisland and across the water to Edinburgh are stunning. If you struggle with hills best to hire an electric buggy. The club house has all the amenities and the meals are very nice too.

Many thanks for your review. The buggies have indeed been busy this year although not available when the course is very wet (safety reasons), so it's always best to check.

An undulating and challenging course with a good variety of golf holes requiring a thought or two on course management but overall a very enjoyable experience. Everyone we encountered from pro shop and clubhouse staff to club members were very friendly and accommodating. Me and my boys will definitely be back to play this course again at some point...

Hurry back BigTKev. The course is still in great shape, despite this weather.
