3 peaks walk
Oct 2020 • Friends
Simply stunning views following part of the Gordon Way Trail path. We went off route to get in the 3 peaks Mither tap, CraigScannoch and Oxen Craig. Took us around 3 hours and was just over 12km.

An interesting visitor centre beside the best hill in Aberdeenshire
Oct 2019
Really cool place at the main car park in Bennachie. Staff are always helpful, and the information on display is interesting. If you're going up the hill then it's worth stopping here for a visit.

We took the opportunity to visit recently. Unfortunately the centre was closed, however we availed ourselves of one of the lovely trails. Excellent day, fantastic experience. Would love to return for further exploration.

If your in Aberdeenshire and looking for a family day out. The walks up and around Bennachie are excellent. Walk up to Mither Tap from the RowanTree car park or head to the visitors centre to start your trails. There are lots of options for walkers of all abilities.

Afternoon visit.
Sep 2019 • Couples
My wife and I found the visitors centre purely by accident while we were staying on the area. A very interesting place for both young and old, with hands on things for children to do. A small cafe is available selling hot drinks and some filled rolls, cakes etc. The lady that was on duty when we called was very helpful and had an excellent knowledge of the area. Lots of leaflets available as well. Bird feeders were in constant use by s wide range of birds inc woodpeckers. We even managed to see a squirrel. Gentle walks around the centre area are available, and adequate car parking.

Great centre for information
Sep 2019 • Couples
The centre sits at the foot of the Bennachie hills dominated by the Mither Tap. The centre is well laid out with stacks of information. There is a small cafe with sandwiches and ice cream. The trails and walks are easy to follow.

A great day for everyone
May 2019
If you want a short easy walk, you've got it. If you want a short but stepp hill climb, you've got it. If you want rolling countryside, you've got it. And if you want to stand on top of a mountain and see for miles and miles, you've got it.

I often take groups here in my coach, but recently went with my partner, and took on a steep climb to the top of Mither Tap.

A fantastic walk, and a lovely place for a picnic too. Car park is chargeable, but every penny goes back into running the centre so is completely worthwhile and justifiable.

Dogs welcome, wheelchairs and scooters ok on the easier routes, and children have plenty of space to runabout. Perfect for all.

Popular centre for climbing the hill
May 2019 • Couples
Dropped in for a wee look lots of information about the forestry area and the mountain. Popular with walkers, cyclists and joggers. The centre itself is well laid out with I formation modules for school kids and is obviously well used. The cafe itself. Is fairly basic with biscuits and crisps and hot drinks .I did not see any signs of hot meals being served. It is a great asset to the community of you are into forests and mountains

Needed to climb this hill
Sep 2018
Bennachie has been on my to do list for a long time, we were in the area so why not. The parking meters were not accepting card payment so I went to the visitor centre and the lady behind the counter was very helpful we were able to pay by card at the till. The walk was well worth it as well, very well sign posted, great views and it only took us three and a half hours.
