Apparently this site has been operating since Easter.
We booked for May spring Bank holiday here as the bridgnorth and surrounding area was fully booked.
We turned up at the local pub carpark where everything is explained and you start from.
An instructor made the 8 / 10 minutes briefing interesting and fun.
We all walked down the canal and started to paddle up and down.
It was a gorgeous sunny day. Plenty of canal boats were in transit both directions and 6 lots of kayak going up and down I felt we were the equivalent of cyclist on the Road.
We had over an hour, and it is plenty for beginners.
Over all a good day out. Only warning PLEASE USE THE PUB CARPARK as we parked by the canal carpark and they closed the barrier and we had to wait over 1 hour to be let out. There is a sign on the gate but the gate was open when we got in and we followed the car on front ant it was not visible.

Had a day booked from work and needed something to do. Have always wanted to go canoeing across the river and so finally it happened.

Booked through Canoe UK and friendly over the phone when answering the queries I had. We booked the Bridgnorth to Arley route which was £25pp. This would have been more as normally you get a ticket for the steam train back to Bridgnorth however due to Covid19 this was not an option so we had to drop my partners car off at the end point in Arley then drive mine to Bridgnorth.

Staff were friendly and accommodating Upon arrival and gave you all the tips needed to make the most of your experience.

We had an issue as we left my partners car keys in my car at Bridgnorth. Andy (I think that’s his name) came to the rescue and generously drove back to get them and had them ready for us when we finished the route.

Looking forward to booking again

This was organised as a group activity with the u3a. there were 13 of us. We picked up our canoes at Bridgnorth, stopped for a picnic near Hampton Loade then finished up at Arley where the team were waiting to take the canoes away and give us our tickets for the Severn Valley Railway back to Bridgnorth.
After a stop at the pub in Arley, we caught the train back.
We were lucky that the weather was superb and the river isolated and beautiful. We were all 60+ amateurs but we all managed the 10 miles or so with (relative) ease. We gelled as a group and there were calls to repeat the activity next year.
Excellent organisation and friendly service. Can't fault it.

Glorious canoe trip from Bridgnorth to Bewdley. This is a beautiful stretch of river, easily completed in 4 to 5 hours. There are a few stretches of fairly gentle white water where it's nice to let the current do the hard work. Monty, the owner of River Severn Canoes gives sensible advice about the course to take through these - listen to him & there's nothing to worry about. We also liked their willingness to move our booking to another day if adverse weather was likely for the original day booked.

Let’s say we are 2 ladies who are not in our first flush of youth so we took on this trip a little concerned about our abilities. Well … no need to worry. With Richard’s instructions and encouragement we had the most fantastic time. We took our own picnic and set the pace for a relaxing paddle through beautiful scenery (and some hostile fishermen). Most people we encountered cheered us on and we had lots of banter.

We did the trip in about 3.5 hours with 2 stops en route. We then boarded the steam train back. The folk at the station were so nice and enthusiastic. A 1940’s event was about to take place so all the stations were dressed accordingly.

We loved everything about this trip and would recommend it to all. Richard from Canoeuk made us feel safe confident and proud of ourselves. He also has the most awesome little Border terrier called Festa who we fell in love with.

We used canoeuk.com for a day trip starting in Bridgnorth and canoeing to Arley, with lunch at the pub and return by the Severn Valley train. The company were great. It was easy to book, including train tickets, everyone was so friendly, explained things well and appeared to really care about us having a good day.
The weather was warm, hot at times which added to the fantastic experience we had. Seeing the river from this perspective was amazing and although there were others around, it was peaceful and scenic. So pleased we did this. A great day with a great company!

Wanting to finish off the summer holidays on a fun note I booked the Bridgenorth to Arley kayak trip at short notice. Thankfully, there was availability so my husband and I happily set off down the River Severn with our teenage son and nephew in a kayak following us. We had the most wonderful, fun day. We did the trip with a lunch stop - I had prebooked our lunch and this meant only a very short wait when we arrived at the restaurant at Hampton Loade. Lunch was enjoyable, and we happily returned to the river after an hour's break. We ended our river experience at Arley and enjoyed the return to Bridgenorth on the steam train. All of us want to return and do another trip - it was well organised, with good instruction and suitable equipment. A great idea for a fun family day out. Highly recommended!

Had a fabulous day on the beautiful River Severn. Really grateful for canoe UK honouring our voucher from early COVID. This was a gift from mother-in-law. It was more than worth the wait. Richard and Charlotte were excellent hosts and Gareth was fantastic in keeping in contact with us over the past few months. Highly recommend this fun day day out, which incidentally included a train ride back-my favourite

From the start, Gareth was great with communication and organising our booking despite me changing the date on him multiple times!
Richard and the team were great, very informative and the day was very well planned. We did the 2 day camping trip and camped at Unicorn Inn at Hampton Loade.
The Saturday stretch was a tough one but still very enjoyable all the same, Sunday was absolutely great, such a lovely stretch of river and the steam train return was the perfect end to the canoe trip.
The dinner stops (Bridgenorth and Arley) were both beautiful and the pubs were fabulous.
Can't fault the trip at all and if you book this trip you will have a great time!

Today I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and went canoeing for the first time with some very lovely friends. I was incredibly nervous as this was my first time and I was so convinced that we were going to capsize! Such a lovely day of connection with friends and Canoe UK really looked after us. They were so friendly and patient with us newbies and really looked after us, explaining everything so clearly. Great value and a fun day out for all. It made a nice change to not have Lottie shouting at me to spin faster 🤣 (she’s my spin instructor)! If you fancy a lovely trip out on the river, Canoe UK are your guys. Thank you and we’ll be back!
