I can appreciate the hard work that has gone into creating this sanctuary but I found it yawningly boring after an hour. I went with my husband and twin grandchildren aged 3 years. We quickly spent £56 between the entrance fee and cafe. I have never encountered such glum caterers - cheer up ladies!! The flamingos looked similarly depressed having... More

Visited in February on a Wednesday day during half term. It was reasonably busy. It's a good day out and worth several visits through the year as you see the site through the seasons. There is enough to do for a full day out and it's reasonable enough value. Worth visiting

We visited Martin Mere again today, rain was forecast for the afternoon so we went in the morning. A wonderful experience, the changes are superb. Had a lovely walk round the site, the staff have worked very hard at making Martin Mere more visitor friendly, well done WWF

We visited with a 3 and 6 year old. They love coming here but were a bit disappointed not to be able to feed the ducks because of the recent bird flu casualty. Anyway they soon got over it and loved running around the duck ponds , crossing the stepping stones and then we came across the Wild Walk. We've... More

It's been a few years since we've been. Seen some improvements and a few steps backwards. Lovely cafe tho expensive. 3 cheeky little otters and amazing exotic wild fowl. Even seen a tawny owl hiding in the tree. Whilst making these "improvements" the new hides are more like fence panels with holes punched through. Absolutely distraught the big trees have... More

We really enjoyed our trip here and for my young niece it was a wonderful opportunity to get up close to the wildlife. The place is well laid out and staff were helpful. Well worth a visit,

As serious Wildlife Photographers (my husband has a BA hons and is a pro) we are keen members of most wildlife organisations. We have visited Martin Mere over the years and seen it become, as time goes by, more and more of a commercial park. The time before last when we visited we were horrified to see that the famous... As a multi-user visitor attraction, it is always difficult to balance the needs of every visitor’s ideal facility. However, with a wildfowl collection, numerous activities for all ages and an internationally famous nature reserve, we do our best. Judging by many consecutive years of increases in visitation and membership, and by our overall Trip Advisor rating, it seems most of... More

Lovely place to visit, staff are very helpful, and the winter afternoon wild bird feeds are amazing, so many birds and so close up.

Today I took my 86year old Mum to a pre-bootable evening event to watch the swans and geese by floodlight. We were part of a group of around 15 and spent the evening in the heated indoor hide with 2 staff who were so informative. They told us about the history of Martin Mere, how to identify the different swans,... More
