Amazing how the old town houses cover the cathedral and you only ser its size when you are inside. The interior is magnificent with lovely small chapels.

Please Ourense, reconsider charging to enter your cathedral. Santiago is just down the road and it is totally free an mind blowing. I don't mind paying to enter a place that is unique, but Ourense Cathedral is not unique. Ourense needs to encourage more tourism....

Very impressive cathedral with paid entrance during the day, but you can get in with the locals early morning or after 8pm for free. Unusual carved saints inside west door.

A wonderful cathedral in a small town. Make sure you go inside and spend some time exploring. The audio tour is also very good.

We arrived early evening and the light was poor but it did not detract from our experience, Awe and mystery pervaded the whole visit. We were not imposters in God's house.

The cathedral is amazing, but the impressive point for me was a small stunning little chapel inside with amazing work in gold carving and wood, i lost myself in the details. Really worth a visit.

Nice and small cathedral, actually it's the smallest I saw in my life. You can feel the medieval ambiance and story of the monument. In the winter there is nobody and everything looks more scary. I recommend it!

This cathedral sits tucked away in the old town and contains sculptures which to my eyes are even more beautiful than in Santiago. We went three times in less than 24 hours! Apart from that, the interior is rather dark but those figures make it...More

Must see: Santo Cristo's gold chapel- it's told that his beard and hair grows every day, even there's a barber who cuts them -, Pórtico do Paraíso -like the one that you can find in Santiago de Compostela, but with colours-, and the table games...More
