We visited this restaurant many times during our stay - highly recommend the garlic prawns for a starter - they have a lovely chilli kick!! The restaurant doesn't open till 8pm on an evening, as siesta 4-8 pm - this is the same for all restaurants in this area. There was a few nights when tables reserved and we had... More

Lovely little museum to spend an hour or two, really nice displays of military uniforms from various periods of time, great views over the harbour from the top, could have some translations for the displays do we could all read the details but you still get the gist, free entry so a cheap little bit of entertainment. This was an unplanned trip. It was recommended by our Thomas Cook rep. Thought it was worth a visit as we wanted to get out of resort for a bit. It's a newly built fort with some of the original fixtures. There isn't a great deal to see, but what is there is all in Spanish which is okey as... More

Well worth the visit stunning views and we got lucky with a medieval market which was great. Lots of entertainment that night but castle and lighthouse are impressive and with it rolling into the marina is well worth a visit

What a surprise this castle was. Small but exhibits really well presented. Even our young grandson enjoyed it!

Excellent displays about early history of Roquetas de Mar and some interesting artefacts and film shows. Informative costume displays of various warrior/ soldiers from History e.g. Imperial Roman Soldier. Lovely Art Exhibition of the works of Jesu Perceval. Entry is free and well worth a visit.

We went yesterday and were really impressed with the soldier's exhibition. The pictures were quite gruesome and shocking NOT for little ones! The view from the top of the castle was awesome. All for free! Great art work and some relating to our local home town of Ulverston! Ha ha, Laurel and Hardy! That was a funny thing! Really enjoyed... More

The castle is tiny, but adds a bit of character to the resort with its lighthouse and open air cinema, but the nearby marina is a disappointment and lets it down - The buses to the castle run every 30 mins
