A truly wonderful beach with crashing waves, and hardly anyone on the long, wide and shingle beach - One of Spain's best kept secrets

I would love to have great things to say about Serena beach as we've visited the area twice now, two years apart, unfortunately while the core support features are still in place (Toilets and changing cubicles, lifeguards and loungers) the other facilities have reduced noticeably. Fewer eateries and vendors are now available. Maintenance has taken a dip in the promenade... More

This is a great peaceful beach. it's long and wide so never gets too busy. it's fine shingles but thats better than sand as it gets quite breezy on some days and no one wants sand flying about. the water can get quite choppy and deep only a short distance in so young children should be careful. you can hire... Took side road to go here - well worth visit. Hardly anyone on beach but warm and pleasant and very relaxing! Recommend getting off beaten track to stop in.

Murky water.. Very choppy . Not much by way of bars and water sports along the front. Nice beds. Can get very windy. Clean promenade buy the water didn't look enticing.

We loved the fine shingle beach. Much better than that anoying fine sand that sticks so much on everything. The sun beds are comfortable but the umbrellas are a bit small. The sea was calm and very clean when we first got there but a few days later strong winds came up, making the sea very rough but that’s nature.... More

We spent a lot of time on the beach which although a fine shingle was lovely. Sun bed hire was very cheap at 4 euros including your umbrella. Discounts were available if you booked beds for 3 or more days. Bars and cafe's along the way.

Ok so the promenade is the best bit - loads of bars and cafes, you can walk for absolutely miles! You can even get to the nature reserve which isn't much to look at but is a huge open space. The beach however is shingle, so not very comfortable to walk or sit on. The sea is dirty and nobody... More

A very clean beach, with a pleasant promenade. The sun loungers are comfortable & cost €8 for a pair with parasol, for the day.

Stretches for miles and an easy walk on a straight path adjacent. Excellent for bikers and also wheelchair users. Plenty of eating places along the route.
