The Playa Islantilla is for sure one of the best beaches in Andalucia. Very clean easy access and you can walk for miles.

We visited this beach as part of a holiday in the Costa de la Luz. My partner and I walked along around two miles of the beach. It is a beautiful beach.

We were staying nearby & this beach was a lovely place for a long walk. It's pristinely kept with not even a piece of paper in sight (& we were there on several occasions) so well done for that! The sand is soft & there's plenty of space as it's quite long. There's a promenade that runs along the back of the beach for part of the way & there are a few places to stop for a snack here. There are also typical local restaurants dotted along the way & the seafood is really good. Just a word of caution - when the tide is low there are rip currents which can be very dangerous if going for a swim, so best to be sure there's a lifeguard on duty & heed their judgement.…

Difficult to see how this beach can be rated at anything less than 5 star. It is a very long and wide stretch of beautiful sand and easily competes with the best in the world (and I have been lucky enough to visit many beaches in the world claiming to be the longest, best, most beautiful....). The facilities are fairly basic (a few Chiringuitos (beach bars) and showers here a there but if you want miles and miles of beautiful clean sand which (even in high season) is not crowded this will not fail to please. And, of course the almost constant Spanish sunshine (albeit the water, being the Atlantic, is never very warm).…
