The beach in Vitoria is nice. Rather, there are two beaches. They are separated by a marina for yachts. There are even equipped volleyball courts, which is an indicator of the level for me. Landscaped promenade along the beach. The only drawback is the cold. Swimming in the Azores is cold in summer and naturally in winter.

Praia da Vitoria (Victory Beach) is a beautiful and very popular city in Terceira. Since its early beginnings in 1456, it has been a settlement, town and finally a city to a growing population base. It has endured earthquakes and numerous battles for control. Today it is a favourite among those with sea-faring pleasure sailing vessels. Portos dos Acores is recognized as a top notch facility here. The beach, arguably one of the best in the Azores, attracts a lot of tourists. The beach is super wide, very long and well groomed. In season, locals and foreign visitors flock here in droves. Overlooking the town and its beach, high on the hill, is Miradouro do Facho, worth checking out for a grand view of the beach and city.

The beaches in Praia da Vitoria are man made and the sand isn't the prettiest, so I don't think that I would want to sun bathe here. The water is too cold for my tastes. All of that said, I found this a very pleasant area to walk around both the see the water and the port.

We came here by accident due to rebooked flights and found it to be a lovely surprise in the end. Lovely people, lovely walks through the city and the surrounding landscape.

We visited the beach and marina area of Praia da Vitoria on a recent cruise call. The beach was beautiful although it wasn't a warm enough day to paddle. We had a lovely walk along the sea fron promenade.

Came on a work trip. Was glad i brought my swim suit. The water and beach was so clean. Juat amazing for a stroll along the board walk. Plenty of bars to enjoy your time. Make sure you hike to the top of the hill to get a great view of the shoreline

This café with a beautiful view of the harbour was superb. The ladies serving were very helpful. They helped us with the WIFI. English was beautifully spoken. We had two beautiful coffees, two pieces of cake, a large beer and a good Sangris for less than 14 Euros. Magnificent!

It's a marina area with a man-made beach/sandy area. The surrounding area is quite walkable and has quaint shops, cafes and lots if places to get souvenirs.

I love to see locals at this beach enjoying gorgeous weather last week. It was a very hot day, on a weekend and quiet even with lots of families. Loved the inflatable soccer nets and fun for small kiddos. There is a beautiful marina next door and lots of food and drinks across the street.
