A wonderful place to watch the waves crash against the lava shorelines. Go on a windy day to add to the beauty.

Lots of people swimming in the pools even in January. Rocks were a little bit slippery.

Lots of free parking. There is a tiny market area with fresh baked goods and fresh fruits and veggies. A couple of booths have homemade crafts including things made from lava.

This was my favorite place on the island and I loved lots of places. The swimming area was amazing even if not swimming. The trenches around the corner from the swimming area was interesting. We went 3 different days in 3 different weather and loved it each time.

This is hands down the nest swimming hole on the island of Terceria. So much fun! Plenty of room to swim and walk around. Large hours to lounge in the sun. Little shops to view merchandise. A place to keep cool while surrounded by amazing views!

Here you will have a chance to swim in natural vulcanic hole pools with ocean water. It's amazing the beauty of the place with cristal clear waters. You can strech out after taking a dive in the cement part where most persons do it with their beach towels.
Pool is attended by two life guard until 6pm.

You can find a snack bar, WC and some tents with traditional and local pasteries, fruits, etc...

Don't forget to take your swimming suit, this place is very good for a swim, even if the weather isn't very good.

our kids love swimming here. There was a smaller area for young kids to swim. My son, 9, enjoyed the natural swimming area and used a snorkel to see the fish and marine life. He loved jumping into the ocean. Lots of natural rocks but nice and a great night life with Jazz music on a Friday and Saturday night.

beautiful place to visit, people are so friendly and welcoming. we lived there while my dad was stationed at lajes air base, then took my parents back for their 50th anniversars, my sister was able to locate our host family from the 70's and we were able to spend a great deal of time with them. it was so wonderful to revisit the places we had spen so much time in while we were younger and to see how some things and had changed yet others remained the same. this is a beautiful island loaded with culture and delicious food. hope to return again some day.

Very refreshing water with lots of little fish and life guards. There’s toilets and showers and possibilities to get food. Very nice location to cool down and relax.

This was one of the most beautiful places we visited on the islands, definitely a top 5 highlight of our trip. You could stop here for ten minutes to snap some photos or spend hours here in the water or relaxing on the decks just listening to the water and enjoying the scenery it’s up to you but definitely worth making a visit here!
