Jeep Tour and Whale Watching

Wow! My wife Becky and I teamed up with Antonio and Pro Island Tours on November 15th, 2019 for the whale watching and Jeep tour; half day on the ocean and half day Jeep tour of the island. Antonio picked us up right in front of the hotel. He was a very informative and pleasant person, going the extra mile to make us happy at every turn. He took us off the beaten paths to see those areas we likely wouldn't have seen on our own. The barbecue lunch was simply awesome. Plenty of food, excellent variety, and cooked right there for us! And the location chosen for the lunch was truly a storybook setting. Totally cool. He and his son truly cared to make this experience one for us to remember. I'll be recommending Antonio and Pro Island Tours to others. I recommend booking with Antonio and Pro Island Tours, as he truly strives hard to make it something special for you. Thanks Antonio and Antonio Jr. for taking care of us. It was the best part of our trip, all of which we really enjoyed. I would have given 6 stars to this review if possible. Fantastic tour!

My wife and I did the Wines and Moonshines jeep tour, and it did not disappoint! We'd been on Terceira for a few days, so our guide Antonio altered the tour to take us to places we hadn't seen.

Antonio was a great guide and wealth of local knowledge. Lunch was great, and the moonshines were quite strong. We were definitely feeling it by the end!

After lunch we went to Simas winery, which was lovely. We sampled their wines (the white was our favourite) and a few more moonshines! A liquor called Angelica was especially great.

All in all, we had a blast, and would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a good way to explore the island.

Two amazing days on Terceira

We booked two full day jeep tours with ProislandTour. Antonio Jr. showed us all the places we wanted to see and the places we didn't know that existe at all - all the hidden gems of the island. Antonio was so kind, patient and always ready to answer all our questions.
Special part of the both tours was lunch, homemade BBQ and Azorean specialty Alcatra - it was so delicious...
We really enjoyed both days, specialy the second one, when we were only clients and had personalized tour.
I would highly recommend this company because they do great job with so much passion and it was an honor to meet them.

Amazing time

We live here on Terceira temporarily with the US military so we’ve seen a lot of the island on our own. But it was on of our guys last weekends and one guy hadn’t been here very long. This trip was absolutely everything we could have asked for. The island is beautiful and the food and wine and moonshine was delicious!! Our tour guide was so funny and made the tour! Highly recommend even if you live here it was nice to be able to drink and not worry about driving.

Antonio and his son did an excellent job of showing our family of 11 around the island. They were very accommodating and did a great job to tailor the tour to all ages and physical capabilities. We highly recommend doing a cooking class with them!

Half a day in Terceira and full island trip Proisland tour makes this possible

Our first guided tour ever was more than great. Our guide Antonio made as speachless of amazing views and hidden island treasures. He was very kind, full of intersting facts about the Terceira and Azores. More than that he made mirracle, becouse we have only half a day and our visit was in the beginning of January.
If you want to get everything from Terceira you should definitely contact him. And please have a mind that you will need at least one full day to to know the Islan two or three will be best.

Great time and even better host

Four of us did a half day 4x4 and it was amazing.....Antonio is personable, knowledgeable, prompt, and accommodating(picked us up at the airport). He took us on those back country roads through the beautiful terrain....ran into a couple of "cow jams" but to be expected as they certainly move slow to get out of the way.
Highly recommended.

Terceira tour wine tasting

The tour was amazing. It is tailored to your vision, historical points, nature, adventure and food. The tour picks you up and drops you off.
The traditional food was a wonderful experience. The tour provides wine tasting and pairings as well. The tour guide also captures the experiences digitally and sends you a copy. I highly recommend the tour.

Worth Every Penny!

We were limited to only one full day in Terceira, and we were looking for a full tour of the island. Some options were cheaper, but this one had some amazing review and we just decided to tried it, and it worth every cent.

While travelling, I often feel difficult when you spend only a week or two to connect with local , to get their perspective on their day to day life, but during this tour, I feel we learnt a lot and I hope that I will find similar experience in my future travel.

Also, the communication was quite easy in English, which sometimes is tougher to me as a French Canadian when English is also second language.

An afternoon well spent exploring Terceira. Although the weather was not great, Antonio made the tour very enjoyable with his friendly attitude and interesting information about the island. The high quality service given was much appreciated.
