Stone exterior and very simple inside. It's well worth stopping by for a visit. No one there when we stopped so very quiet inside. There is no admission charge.

Beautiful Old Church in Narni that is easily missed. So small you could walk right past it. Marked on the city map it is well worth the short five minutes it takes to check it out Free admission

Such a beautiful and simple old church

This little church is on the main road in the upper part of Narni. It is a wonderfully clean and simple example of Romanesque architecture, with fine carvings in the atrium and such an impressively simple interior. Very well worth getting there.

If there is a town to make you love Italy here it is.if into very very old villages with old churches liked being in this small town.
The visit has motivated me to study history. If you like to study church design and internal architectural style or design of churches of this style then you must see this place. Do not wander aimlessly through the streets, Be more respectful as this church is an essential part of the cultural heritage of Italy. Probably more suitable for adults who bring with them a college level education in art history and architectural design.

Here is another reason to make me think many years ago about plans for retirement in this wonderful small hill town of central Italy. Another example of what made this town stand out in my mind for making a decision or following a hunch years ago to stop here on my train travels to Rieti and Assisi or Perugia. I was traveling on a European-rail pass and was staying near Orvieto for my vacation during my first extensive or extended vacation in this part of Italy. This visit took place many years go long before the customary range of calendar date suitable for indicating the time of my visit were made available for completing this review. I was a much younger traveler then when traveling conditions were much different than they are now. I brought with me a degree in European history and much knowledge of the Italian language. I liked being in this small town. The visit has motivated me to study art history. If you like to study church design and internal architectural style or design of churches of this style then you must see this place. It is as simple as that. Do not wander aimlessly through the streets or in the church munching on two ham sandwiches or drinking a milk shake. Be more respectful as this church is an essential part of the cultural heritage of Italy. Probably more suitable for adults who bring with them a college level education in art history and architectural design as well as Italian language skills. Do not bring your pet dog. I did walk through the town as it was not large. I suggest that you do the same for the same reasons. If there is a town to make you love Italy here it is. Others qualified for this honor too. Notice the interior as well as its paintings and structural components. As I found out there was a reason not to rush forward to Assisi or Perugia. Here it is. See the surroundings near the church first. Look for people who know about it. I didn't take a group tour. Same advice for you to follow. Read about the church as you see it.
