From first contact to departure, Irene, the sommelier did a fantastic job both conveying her passion for Umbrian wine and in particular the wines from the Berioli organic farm and her pride in her region. She was informative, attentive, an excellent communicator and very professional. I also enjoyed meeting the owner Roberto who spoke passionately about his farm's path on organic viticulture and why he loves his job. They make a great team and I would recommend this tasting to wine lovers of all nationalities. Their range of wines were all excellent, I particularly enjoyed the Vercanto 2018 100% oak aged grechetto, and the 2018 Topporosso red blend. I came home with a bottle of everything and will return again. Their extra virgin 100% dolce agogia extra virgin olive oil was delicious and the antipasti selection the perfect accompaniment to the tasting.

We were staying at a farm stay near by and wanted to taste the wines of the region. In times of COVID some places were not able to conduct their tastings, however Berioli was able to do intimate tastings in a safe way. We were first taken to the vinyard by the owner who was clearly passionate about wine making, his vines and his roses that the deer from the nearby forest love to eat! Irene then prepared a lovely charcuterie board as we began a fantastic and informative tasting. We loved it so much we bought a case of the Maldestro (White), a vin santo and a couple of others. It was about 2 hours in total and because it was just my family, Irene the sommelier and Roberto the owner. I would highly recommend them and their wines!

Our second visit was as good and memorable as the first. Irene is a terrific host, guide and wine expert leading you on a journey through Umbria, history and oenology. We had the tour of the cantina cellar then a table with a glass for each wine. We explored from a young white to their signature red - Spiridione - a blockbuster Merlot. Definitely take your time here it is not somewhere to rush through like in CA. And the L'Umbricello restaurant nearby is a must so a great dinner option after your tasting.

Fantastic place to visit, very hospitable, lovely place in the middle of the Umbrian countryside. Nice tour of the vineyards then some lovely food with the wine tasting. The wine is incredible, especially the sweet Sperello. Both the tasting and wine are very reasonable, we ordered some to be shipped home. A recommended place to visit if you are in the area.

We found this wine tasting experience on Trip advisor and the reviews were not wrong. Irena was an amazing host who showed us around the vineyard, explained the history of the owner and the vineyard heritage. The wine tasting was relaxed and informative and the wine itself was fantastic. We were made to feel so welcome by both Irena and the owners and we ended up buying lots of wine to bring home which was extremely reasonably priced. I would highly recommend doing this if you are in the area (even if you don't know a huge amount about wine like us)! Irena thank you for an amazing afternoon and lovely memories x
