This ancient synagogue is amazing, and located right in the heart of the city. Is definitely worth the effort to go in and explore.

we went there at 2 pm so everything close ecept some few shops and café , so we stated walking in a quiet town center to the cathedral .Spending time just an hour . This year will comeback and see the underground city .

So sorry - I don't know for definite. It is not used apart from occasional hirings, more a museum, so I would imagine it only opens in normal working hours in a tourist area. Sorry I can't be more help.
