We came across this family-owned vineyard by Chance and were warmly surprised by the nice owners who served us amazing wines and olive oil!
They were delicious and reasonably priced. We can very warmly recommend a visit!

Excellent wine tasting experience of high quality organic wines
Aug 2021 • Friends
We did a tasting of 5 wines together with a ham and cheese platter for EUR 30. The wines are all organic and stand out in terms of taste and value for money. The owner assisted us with lots of explanations on the wine making process (however speaks little English). We were the only visitors at the time. The seating in the garden was excellent with nice views. Overall an excellent experience.

We really enjoyed the wine tasting with food pairing in the beautiful garden. The wines have a very high quality and won several awards. Also the different olive oils are extraordinary good! Thanks for the great experience!

Just what we needed
Apr 2018 • Family
I mistakenly believed this was more of a tour with a tasting included. That was my own confusion. As a result, I sold it as such to my family, who at the time was cheese-&-prosciutto-ed out, and the children in our group just needed to stretch their legs and have a run about. So when we arrived and were led into a cozy room with a nicely set table, I felt like a real jerk and I could feel my family's apprehension.
However, after our gracious hosts settled us in, started describing the wines and answering questions, the tension melted away, and we got to enjoy a beautiful family's history, and the fruits of their labor.
We were absolutely charmed by Alessandra and Alessio, who fed us their olive oil on some fresh bread, delicious meats and cheeses and a pepper jelly that Alessandra had just made which was so good that it renewed our appetite for charcuterie. The kids went outside and found a little playset with a swing, slide, and the nicest kitty ever, Mia (she'd smile and close her eyes when pet).
Alessio's mom was a trip; an impressive matriarch who showed up with a friend, both nicely dressed, and went from socialite in the tasting room for introductions, to grandma in the playground where she asked about our kids, to field general, picking up a hoe and working some ground while directing the workers.
The wines are all organic and all delicious, and we bought a bunch of the Serafino chianti, which was our favorite.
In the end, it turned out to be exactly what we all needed. Wine, food, culture, beauty, and family. Check it out for yourselves!

Lovely food including local meats and cheeses followed by a variety of wines and videos showing the family heritage of the vineyard. A great host made for a memorable afternoon.

Good wine tasting experience
Aug 2017
5 generations have run this vineyard : each being remembered through one of their wines. Very low key vs other places. A relaxing time with good wine!

Amazing wines!
Oct 2015 • Couples
We visited this winery at the suggestion of our Airbnb host and thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. This winery has been producing wine in Tuscany for several generations and we were given the opportunity to sample a wide assortment of their gorgeous reds. A very pleasant, traditional Italian meal was served along with local salami and cheeses that I wish I could have taken home. Irina and her boyfriend gave us a tour of the winery and production facility and we were lucky enough to be there during grape crushing time and see the machinery and process in action. This is the second winery we visited and we enjoyed seeing both as they were quite different, so it was quite the learning experience. Highly recommended!

Great Wine Tasting, Great Host
Sep 2015 • Friends
Had a great time tasting the wines at Tenuta Barbadoro. Irina was so warm and welcoming and prepared us a plate of local cheese and salami. We tasted multiple wines and took a short tour of the grounds with a lesson on the wine making process. The two resident dogs are also very cute. We didn't have a chance to return for a pizza making class but I'm sure it is lots of fun. I would highly recommend Tenuta Barbadoro as a wine tasting stop when visitng Montespertoli!

Had an awesome time there!
Aug 2015 • Friends
Group of 10. Did some wine tasting there.

The wines and the served dishes were amazing and cheap, but even better were the friendly people there.

We came back to them for a second night, where they showed us how to make Italian pizza. We had an amazing time there and the pizza tasted awesome.

We would definitely recommend anybody to go there to taste some of their wines .

really nice wines. very nice people. it is just outside of town and has a nice place to relax. they serve you the wine tasting outside in the sun around the great grounds. we liked the serafino and guido the best. they name the wines after family members. a great place to visit. come for the wine but stay for the stories
