The family that owns Maiano is the kindest and most generous family I have ever had the pleasure of coming across in all of Italy. And I would know, I lived there for over a year. Their wines are honestly made, in the traditional way with special care given to the yeasts they choose. They ensure great taste and quality by employing a chemist to help them make wise choices in blending. They treat their vines and grapes with love and are very proud of their products and the tools they use to get the "blood of the gods" from the ground to the bottle to the markets. You can buy as much as you want from the local groceries in Montespertoli. I have tried so hard to get it in Dallas, Texas, but I don't know much about distribution rules and stuff. So I guess I'll just have to load up on it when I get back to Firenze!
