Su Sterru is worth a little visit if nearby on the Altopiano Del Golgo. Follow the signposting and walk past the little ponds and you will find it easily. Information to read is nearby, fascinating.

It's easy to fit this attraction in on the way to the walk to Cala Goloritze as it is about 600 meters before the main car park on the same road. You can drive right up to it or you can park where you see the sign and walk through a really nice bit of countryside to get to it.
It's about a 5 minute walk so worth it in my opinion.
On a side note some people park here to do the hike to Cala Goloritze, probably thinking to avoid the car parking ticket by the restaurant. The thing is the car park is included in your ticket to get to Goloritze so best to drive further if you can. I can see the car park filling up in peak season..

My immagination lets me imagine the millions of yearsthat it hastaken for water to carve out this incredible chasm. To others it is a scary hole in the ground. Fenced off for safety, but usually with the gate left open in a tribute to Italy's disregard for nanny state H&S. This chasm is nearby the idyllic church of San Pietroand the "piscinas" which are early stage Golgos acting as water and mud holes for the local wildlife.
